Serg blasts Chavez Jr and he beats Cotto by TKO ala Pac.

But i rather see him against Cotto. Chavez isn't even near the same level as Serg. Not that Cotto is but Cotto def deserves it more. haha

moving up to face bigger guys is more scarier than coming down in weigh to fight smaller guys... this way if u lose most likely u will be all beaten up but wont get KO... move up in weigh to fight bigger guys and u mite not get that many cuts and bruise but u will be asleep for a good 5min or so... sergio is smart LOL..

i'm sure he could clean up the 154lb division. K-9, Cotto, & Canelo, in that order. Though, i don't think GBP would let Canelo near Martinez. They've got to squeeze all they can out of him, before putting him in a tough fight.

Boy Pacquiao fans are really enabling him, there just like Mayweather fans, scared to see there favorite fight take a loss.
I don't care about Pacquiao and was cheering for Mosley in their fight, so I'm certainly not afraid of him losing.

I just don't like boxers challenging far smaller opponents when they operate several division above them. If Pacquiao wanted to fight Martinez then I would be all for it. However, Martinez is the one pressuring a smaller guy into fighting, when there are harder challenges for him elsewhere. Despite this, he's trying to take the easy option by cashing in on Pacquaio's name and position as the greatest fighter in boxing.

As fighters get older, they should move up in weight, and not grind themselves down to take on easy challenges. Pacquaio vs Martinez is a mismatch. That's no criticism of Pacquaio's skill or legacy, rather, a reflection of the size disparity that exists between the two fighters. In my opinion, if both boxers were the same size, Pacquiao would beat Martinez, but as it stands, Martinez would seriously hurt the little guy.

Martinex has hardly even adjusted to 160, has weighed in well under the limit each time, and never had any trouble making 154 before that.

The jump to 168 has proven to be one of the toughest, if not the toughest, jumps in boxing.

Only a hater, and a moron, would suggest that Martinez should or needs to move to 168.
            Agree, great post

I still said that I was going to support the fight just because you never know what might happen, and I really did think Mosley was going to come at Pac and really leave everything in the ring. Post fight, I voiced by disappointment in Pacquiao not trying harder to get shane outta there. But Pac only deserves a little of the blame. Arum deserves the second most blame, and Mosley deserves basically all the blame.
Don't be absurd, only in Pacland is a man not held accountable for his actions.

Arum presented Manny with 3 opponents, and Manny chose Shane.

EVERYBODY knew that Mosley was a shot 40yo, are you telling me that Manny was the only one who didn't know?

              MANNY KNOWS !!

Pac got exactly what he wanted, a soft opponent to make him look good, just like every single fight since Marquez, except Hoya.

Hoya actually turned out to be soft as well, but only because he ***ed up the weight. Hoya cherry-picked Manny, and Manny accepted the big money fight..... but everyone else was a very carefully matched opponent.

Cotto vs. MArtinez @ 154 would be great!!!!

Unfortunately for Sergio, i feel like 160 just isn't as stacked as other divisions. The only fights that would seem to make sense to me right now is a fight between the winner or Zbik vs. JCCjr or Sturm vs. Macklin. If JCC jr beats Zbik, it would possibly mean a bigger payday for Martinez.

Cotto is a title-holder, and one of the best at 154, but I have a feeling that Martinez would get ripped for taking that fight.
