1.) catch-weight fights are a joke, the general acceptance of catchweights largely emanates from Manny-fans

2.) it is ridiculous to suggest that Sergio should make 151 because he "has fought at welter before". Clearly he cannot go under 154, and nor should be ever be required to. Sorry, but only Manny fans feel that a weight advantage should be negotiated for Manny prior to all of his fights. I prefer the old-school way of using divisions

3.) under the original 8 divisions, how would Manny have coped ?

3.) Manny fought at lightweight, so he can still make 135 to fight Marquez?

That fight would be a JMW contest, the JMW limit is 154.

    Nothing else is acceptable.

The Pac-circus is becoming an old joke.

We all need to just stop it.

Sergio Martinez is too big for Manny.

I think we can all see that.

You guys who think that Pac could beat Serg..... are special

It is a little unreasonable to expect Manny to fight Sergio, as long as Pac shuts his mouth about that 8-division titlist thingy.

As soon as Manny opens his mouth about his JMW title, then he is ducking Martinez.... end of story.

We all know the title is a sham, and we can all see that Martinez is clearly too big for Pac.

But Manny will not fight a genuine JMW, ANY JMW, so he needs to drop that WBC junk in the bin, it just adds to the ever-growing list of things that are not right about Manny's recent resume'.

Try again but this time answer the question without an excuse for Pac which is complety irrelevant to what he asked.

Floyd needs to fight Martinez since we all know Manny and his stans prefer Quackquiao's opponents with a name at their lowest point of their careers with all terms in favor of Pac'n PEDs.

Floyd will have to show his son Manny how it's done.

Manroids fans are ****ting power pellets because the Pedget would be cornered between Floyd and Sergio, and little Manroid wouldn't be abe to move up anymore and for sure as hell wouldn't drop down to where there is comp waiting for him.

The Congroidsman's carnival act would be over and he'd have to retire from "entertaining".

Sergio Martinez is Floyds biggest challenge and likewise for Sergio. Pac is only Sergio or Floyd's biggest payday. Like it or not.

Serge is getting old and there's not enough money at 160. He can fight 2 tune up fights at 150 - 154 and see how it goes then lure Pac or Floyd to fight him at 150 catchweight for 5 - 10 Mil. chance of a lifetime.

LOL, that is the different situation you talking about. Because Sergio hasn't fought at SMW, lame excuse. Bernard Hopkins jumped up from middleweight to light heavyweight to fight Antonio Tarver. Floyd went up to jr. mw against Oscar Dela Hoya. Roy Jones went to face John Ruiz at heavyweight. Pacquiao went up to ww to fight Dela Hoya.

Martinez is 36 years old and he knows he only has a couple of years left before age catch up to him. He wants a paydays and there is 2 ways he can go for that. 1 is going down to jr. mw with Cotto, Canelo, and Chavez Jr. Or Sergio can go up to super mw and face Bute, Kessler, Abraham, or any of the super six tournament fighters.

The easiest way for payday is going down. The hardest way is going up in weight, but the reward is more if he beats one of the top fighters at super mw. Kessler, Bute, Abraham, and Froch has a lot of fan base on each of their respectives country. Those 4 make pretty good money fighting at home. If Sergio beats (ex.) Kessler, that will open up a fight with Bute, Froch, or Abraham.

why don't you tell youR favorite fighter to man-up and fight boxers of his size. pacman is not his size. if he wants to prove that he should replace PACQUIAO in the #1 lb-4-lb rank, he should fight LUCIAN BUTE. if he keeps on calling out PAC or boxers smaller than he is then i would call him a coward. PAC couldn't even make 150lbs on weigh-in of his JUNIOR MIDDLEWEIGHT fight with margarito.

Bernard Hopkins is huge compared to Sergio and had been struggling to make 160 for years, whereas Martinez could likely still make 154.

Dude, if Sergio can still make 154, you are being a little silly arguing that he should be fighting at SMW.
