Comen on Sergio. I think you could beat nearly all the big players up at SMW, with a hell of a couple of incredibly good fights with Ward and Bute. Just go for it!!!!!!
Not only will he be giving up 15-20lbs on fight night, those guys are pretty quick themselves, along with carrying more punching power then Martinez. Sergio would be in a ****load of trouble against anyone those elite super middleweights.
just image
Bute 6-2 185lbs
Martinez 5-10 166lbs
Then combine Bute's technique, skill and punching power....I just can't see Martinez lasting long. People won't realize how much bigger those guys are until Martinez steps in the ring with them (which will never happen).

How many mandatories will this guy duck and dodge? And less than 2 years ago he said that the only way he could go to 154 is if he cut off a leg.
He is so scared of Pirog its not even funny.

Martinez has reach but he is way shorter than anyone worth fighting at 168 and he would be outweighed by like 10 pounds on fight night.

I think he should stay around 157 so he can fight at MW, and dip down for the bigger names at 154.
154-160 is where he should finish his career at because another thing not mentioned is a lot of those SMW will be moving up soon (possible after the super 6).
In that range (154-160) there are guys like Angulo, Pirog, Sturm, Cotto, just to name a few.

Hell, he gave up 5-6 inches against Williams and he seemed to cope with the height difference rather well. If Sergio wanted to try his hand at 168, I'm sure he can be successful. His ability to cope with the size disadvantage and take Pavlik's punch pretty well is a good indication of this.
