If Martinez wants to be considered one of the top P4P, he should be moving up in weight, not down. Fights against Bute, Ward, Froch, Dirrell would be amazing.

sucks to hear this for martinez. fighting at smw would be good, but seems like there's more commercial names at jmw like cintron, cotto, alvarez, and angulo. all those names would be good paydays (alvarez and angulo in mexico). i doubt arum will let cotto or chavez near martinez though, so i doubt those fights will happen. i say martinez just fights more often before his age catches up to him. n'jikam, pirog, lee, rubio, all seem like great opponents for him. at jmw, it seems like all the names would not want to fight him.

I'm sorry but I don't want Cotto to fight Martinez, straight up.Why does Cotto who's not as great as Pacman & Floyd always fighting great fighters while those 2 bottom feed on ppv & still be called great.Pacman & Floyd need to fight someone who they're not favored to beat.I want an even fight from these great fighters.

You're moving the wrong direction Sergio. There's slim pickings at 154. The gold mine is 147, but we know you can't go down that low. It's best to just move up and fight some of the names at 168.

                  Martinez:
                  Height- 5ft, 10in
                  Reach- 75in

                  Andre Ward:
                  Height- 6ft, 1in
                  Reach- 73in

                  Carl Froch:
                  Height- 6ft, 1in
                  Reach- 74.5in

                  Lucien Bute:
                  Height- 6ft, 1.5in
                  Reach- 72in

Martinez has reach but he is way shorter than anyone worth fighting at 168 and he would be outweighed by like 10 pounds on fight night.

In that case people should never mention Martinez fighting Pac then. Look at the size difference there. I really don't think height is as important as reach. What weight does Sergio walk around at?
