why are people talking about a cotto fight? i thought pbf will never negotiate with greedy arum. most possible fight for floyd is spadafora. roger has hinted on this in his last video. if not, the only possible option is ortiz...

Ortiz would be the logical choice since he's with GB. He's young and hungry and would be a great fight (for a tune up).

I love Floyd. But these Spadafora rumors better not be true. It will really hurt his legacy if he takes this fight, thats for sure.
He should fight Ortiz or Khan, since both are GB, this would make sense. And then beat Pacquiao and secure his legacy. He'll never fight Cotto, this much should be obvious.

What does that say about him??????
At least Floyd has PROVEN that he's not a lousy PED cheater.
Link please ?
Even though I have no interest in that non-boxing dribble, that information - if factual - will definitely come in handy on this site

That whole song and dance of coming back and tuning up, only to disappear has gotten real old. But if it's true I'll say nothing but good things about the guy, especially if he fights a stud like ortiz, even though I got floyd on a clear decision, that would be the most impressive thing he's done in years.
You guys crack me up, let me tell you why.....
You think that Mayweather beating Ortiz would be " the most impressive thing he's done in years "..... dude, actually taking a fight with someone like Ortiz - regardless of the result - would be the most impressive thing that Pac has done in years.
And that is a total joke.
Manny retires either.....
* when he runs out of old men and faded champions to pad his resume' with
* before a fight with someone like Ortiz becomes mandatory
* after a fight with Mayweather

Cotto?
Cotto is done. He's been done since the Margo fight. Cheated or not, he got sloppy and fought Margo's fight. Stop with the bs. Cotto is a great boxer, fans love to watch him fight, but he's not great. And it will be like taking candy from a baby. Margo will beat him senseless in the re-match.
Khan? Are u kidding me? Khan will ruin his career...even Khan fans know for a fact he's not ready for Floyd. May man had a hard try with Mc****face and Maidana.
Ortiz will be a good fight, but ortiz is gonna do what he always does and bull rush and will get spanked. But it's def a tune up fight for Floyd. Beating Berto isn't the most impressive thing in the world. Berto didn't have his legs after the first round..
Who ever Floyd fights will be great for boxing. Hate him or not, you'll watch to fight and pray to baby jesus that he loses. And the talk of he fights people smaller than him? Who Marquez?? Wasn't Marquez the guy that beat up Pac? Yet, people wanna see the re-match with him, then say he's too small for floyd. Floyd whippppped that ass......And to all you other clowns, he beat oscar in his prime...Wiped the floor with Hatton. Hatton was undefeated and you UK bums were talking like he was the next Sugar Ray. (GETOUTTAHERE) And Took Mosley to school....can't sit here adn say pac did a better job...this is boxing...Mayweather doesn't do what Pac does...He fights for 12 rounds...and he uses the sweet science..not takign anything away from Pac...but you can't say that beating the bums is a way of showing he's better than floyd.

Cotto would be a great comeback fight for several reasons: he sells tickets & moves ppv's as a b-side, he has an accomplished resume despite the hate & discontent that some people dish out and besides the wear n tear he is only 30/31 years old. He has the tools to be COMPETITIVE (not a favorite): great timing, above average reflexes, stiff jab, good power & he would be the aggressor. When Cotto is the aggressor he is a beast, but, aggressive fighters like Pacman/ Margs will always be his kryptonite. Moneywise & competiveness, Cotto vs Mayweather makes sense. Legacywise, Martinez vs Mayweather is the only other meaningful fight besides Pacman. Ortiz? He's not ready, if you knock Cotto than you can certainly knock Ortiz.
Ortiz is young, hungry, fast, skilled, in his prime, and on top of his game.
Cotto is none of those things.
Ortiz would be Pac's best opponent since Marquez.
