Sorry man, Kobe, Tiger, and Lebron are on a different level. They are not just icons in their respective sport, they're icons in sports in general. They're on Sportscenter every night. I ain't knocking Floyd, its just that boxing ain't a big sport, at least not in America. Kids grow up dreaming about being the next Jordan, Kobe, Brady, or Woods. You see commercials literally everyday with these guys starring in them. I'd say Pac is a bigger crossover star than Floyd globally and even don't get the kind of love those other guys get.Comment

floyd is no tyson. dunno why people act as if he is. he certainly is not a superstar. many parts of the world doens't even know him. he became known only when hoya fought him. they were rooting for hoya. they were disappointed of the result. they're doubly disappointed when floyd ducked a rematch. those who were rooting for hoya have been following floyd and want to see him lose. that explains the ppv interest. get real peeps. hope that helps.Comment

Coincidentally, it was kind of ironic...one of the women who I polled the other day came into the gym tonight and she said, "Hey, I went home and googled that boxer you weere asking me about the other day. I didnt realize he was from my hometown!!"
To clarify, her hometown is Grand rapids, Michigan, same as Floyd and his dad, and yet she never heard of him...makes u wonder...Comment
