    What is your point?
Freddie Steele was a damn good fighter.

But I see what you're saying

    This thread is sickening.

I finally got through all this thread, it was tough and now I have to go stuff a kitten in a mason jar because I can not articulate my rage properly with written word alone.

I will say this though Leonard-Hearns 1 is my favorite fight all time, some of you all need to watch that to understand what went down and just how great Leonard was to withstand the beating he was taking from Hearns who was a straight killer at 147 then to turn the fight around in a manner which no one though Leonard could really do.

Kills me that Hearns didn't even notice that Leonard was lining him up for an overhand right, so freaking obvious too. Recently rewatched it and found it boring sadly.

but hearns telegraphed his punches and was totally unproven at 147. then he was totally exposed in this fight with SRL.

at least that's what they tell me

Hearns didn't have to know that before then because he was killing everybody, very few guys would have even been able to get to that point of the fight and then come up with the answer they needed. As a fan of the Motor City Cobra it is terrible to watch but that is still special stuff.

Fights are never as good after the fact, especially knowing what goes down.

Not like he had 10 title defenses and was getting talked about as one of the best 147 pounders ever to come out of Mexico.

David Diaz obviously is the much better fighter.

                    Yeah.

Not like he's one of the ATG Mexican WW's. And ATG Mexican fighters in general.

or a HOF WW or anything.

David Diaz, however, is a beast! He's muscular and everything!

I bought the PPV because of Diaz's physique, I'm not kidding. Me and my neighbor bought it!
