WHen people talk about Pac and peds my eyes glaze over, so i cant say i noticed but thanks for bringing it to my attention all the same.
Hagler? You must have me confused with Mak or something. I rank Pac ahead of Hagler. One of the few ones(I'm not counting morons like you Puga, and Twako) who do rank Pac ahead of Hagler.

The only thing that I say is that I think it's close. Where is very debatable. And, if somebody has Hagler ahead of Pac then that's fine and I won't argue because it's debatable. The only time I would argue is when idiots like you who says that it's Pac and not even close. When it really is close.

So I don't know where you get that Hagler statement from.

My point is that McLarnin is probably greater than Pac cuz' of who he actually beat. And, McLarnin is not as great as Leonard.

So again what's your point? That Pac fought in an era that has more divisions more titles therefor he's greater? Because, if you go by what actually matters resume(opponents) then Pac is not greater nor on the level of Leonard.

I have him in the top 30 and that's being very generous to Pac. And, it might cuz' of my bias to Pac is the reason why I rank him that high. And, that's a compliment to Pac.

Im sure if you and Pac was in the same room im sure Pac would shake your hand and thank you very much for having him as high as 30 and im sure he would take it as a compliment..........not. Hed say please dont hate him for being the best southpaw and achieving more than Pernel Witaker and hagler and upsetting you.
But hes only doing his job.

well a lot of people would have leonard outside the top ten in the all time list and i've read on here pac is already in the top ten or close so i actually thought the numbers would be much closer then they are

we don't give credit to the fighters of today, in about twenty years time everyone would have different opinions of the fighters we are seeing now

yeah who did mclarnin beat? struggled in a trilogy w/ ross. beat an old washed up benny leonard? canzoneri is the only good win on his resume. and dont try to build up those other old other fighters in his resume like you know them well, you dont. if ortiz would beat pac, would you have him higher than floydjr because having pac on his resume trumps everything on floyds own resume?

and no, i didnt say pac is definitely greater than leonard, but has a case for one, depending on one's point of view. a lot of historians/experts would have BOTH pac and leonard in the top 10-20 ATG so subjectively speaking one could be higher than the other alternately on each list.

Beating Ross and Canzoneri is better than any win Pac has.

Then he has the 1 round destruction over HOF'er Young Corbett III. That win is better than the Hatton/Cotto/Clottey win.

The Benny Leonard win is just as good if not greater than the Oscar win. I would assume the latter because one Leonard was greater than Oscar and wasn't weight drained like Oscar. But, granted was just as shot to shit as Oscar.

He has a win over the first Filipino great Pancho Villa. That win is better than Sasakul/Ledwaba.

Hell a win over Villa and Corbett III is just as good as Pac win over JMM. Which is one of Pac best wins.

His win over Lou Ambers is better than most of Pac best wins.

Is not just one win, is not just two wins. It really is his whole record. And, he started just near the flyweight limit just like Pac. Went up to WW and destroyed top guys just like Pac. The difference is that he has better wins.

Only if he fought in an era where there were more weight-classes and more paper titles and day before weigh-in. You probably would respect....Oh who am I kidding, you probably wouldn't know who he was. You would have to be a fan of the sport, not just ONE particular fighter, to know about the sport.

                  What exactly have I boxrec'ed and Youtube'd?

I seriously doubt you have been watching boxing since the Thrilla in Manila.

He probably knows more than 99.9% of the forum, doesn't mean his opinion is right he's just in a better position to form one.
