This thread has gone on way too long and has just got ridiculous, did I really read that EM and Mab are greater then anyone McClarnin beat ?.

I don't get why you humor them for so long Jro, obviously shouldn't be taken seriously.
i dont exlty know where sugar puts pac when everyhing is over and neither do you, so i dont think weall knowfor sure if suagr has dempsey over pac...but he made clear he's the greates ever southpaw...

how many McClarlin fights have you seen?......just curious..

yes mclarnin got canzoneri and ross which he struggled in a trilogy. cant give u an aging benny leonard, he was at his tailend in fact that was benny's last fight. pac may not have anyone higher on his list but his dominance over world champs in multiple divisions is a great equalizer.

        The headline question regards resume'.

In terms of ATGness imo you have a better argument but not good enough. Suffice it to say that I'm of the opinion that Roach's strategies of making Pac's opponents give up some sort of advantage (usually weight) more than makes up for any touted (hell, he was bigger than Cotto) disadvantage Pac may have had once he got past LW. For me Pac gets some credit for the names of those bigger guys but not their weight classes. SRL's names > Pacs names, SRL > Pac.

Where did I say Pacquaio wasn't great, would like a quote please unless this is more rubbish ?.

You however just went and said that EM and Mab are greater then Tony Canzoneri (just one example).

That is funny and also why this thread shouldn't of lasted this long.

Watch the MAB vs Morales trilogy, Hamed Vs MAB, Morales Vs Maidana fights.

Out of the fighters who you have seen in colour TV. Where would you roughly rank Pacquiao ?

Bert Sugar's can say anything he wants, thats his opinion. Opinion- a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.

Again how does an opinion make it as if it is a fact? Bert can say Pac is the greatest boxer in the universe and it wouldnt be a fact.

His credibility as a boxing writer or Sports Historian does not mean his words proceed as a fact. And does not make his opinion better than an average boxing fan like me.

There we go people Puga has spoked, Bert Sugars word is law.
Never mind that he's a media whore that has all the resources in the world but gladly throws it away for whatever the media wants and his ridiculous bias and has done since he's been on the scene.

He has said that Pac is top 20 and he has Dempsey at 10, so yes I do know, would you still like to try and defend him or come up for some reason for having Dempsey above Pac ?.

I've seen 7 or so McLarnin fights.

how the hell did Pac look bigger than cotto? cotto only went down one freakin lb from his previous fight, so no weight drain excuses, almost all fighters go thru the same path. damn, pac in his last SFW fights was draining himself too much, but still no excuses.

If he was to retire today, out of those in colour tv he's probably top 15 or so (Estimate, don't have enough time to compare him quickly), just because someone does not have him as the greatest doesn't diminish his record, I don't see why people seem to think that.

The history of boxing is huge beyond belief, to be in the top 30 or so boxers of all time is outstanding but you and others seem to take it as some kind of insult ?.

I don't get it, done in this thread now.
