But thanks.
There is no argument, Leonards era doesn't compare to this one.Comment

Footwork has to learn the trade of trolling a bit more...
You never answer the question you are asking in the first post. Then make it so absolute that is the way you feel about it...
You have to dangle the bait a bit...I mean, Hugh bit, but that's about it.
That is, until the other trolls log in...Then this topic will be an all out troll war.........Last edited by HandSpeed303; 04-24-2011, 11:43 AM.Comment

The hagler fight was pick em and SRL spluttered and wasnt dominant. I dont think SRL would dominate Pacs opponents like Pac did. Thats why after Pac destroyed Margarito people were saying its quite possible Pac is the GOAT now. They couldnt visualize SRL or Duran do those things.
On the other hand, most people can see Pac would be favoured of beating Duran, Benitez, and Hearns as well.
And, many people would favour any of those fighters to beat Pacqiuao. And even if they didn't, it means nothing.Comment

There you have it.
Two different era's of boxing...
Ray has fought some great fighters, so has Pac. Both in differnt era's of the game.
Why does it matter? I mean really? You that hard up for a so called "LOL"?...
Cause lord knows, there are two things Pac just can never win...Fantasy fights, and resume slugfest...
Also: In terms of the bold print, if you truly feel that way, why would you just make it about Pac? Just to get you LOL I guess...Why not make the poll include Floyd, B-Hop, Roy, Tito, Oscar, Pernell? There are plenty of fighter people consider great in this era...Not just Pac. That would turn into to much of a boxing disscusion I guess.
Anyway, I went with Ray (on the poll).Comment

SRl hs a better a resume but if pac defeats mosley and then maywetaher if floyd agrees to fight, then he will have a better resume for me
morales, marquez and barrera are great great wins. cotto, hatton, oscar, margo and clottey are good wins
adding another good and great win will pip it for meComment

enough with these Pacquiao threads.
Leonard has the better high level wins over Hearns, Duran, Benitez and Hagler(controversial). Apart from that, he also has a win over one of the best 154lbers ever in Ayub Kalule, and a extra credit win against Lalonde.
add in the fact that he actually beat up most the top Welterweights before he won the title(ie Ranzany, Mayweather, Shields, Muniz, Green, etc) and he actually has just as many or more wins over top competition.
so its pretty clearly Leonard to me.Comment

I have debated this for years in ESB. After Pac beats the trio Of JMM, EM & Barrera, I thought Pac already equalled SRL's resume. But Pac I thought was slightly ahead coz Pac was more dominant with Mab & EM while SRL cant KO a Granite chinned opponents.
But what Pac has done with Cotto, DLH, Hatton & Margarito were much Amazingly incredible! Pac was expected to be annililated by these Big guys! Then Pac reversed the Idea & give then the beatings of their lives.
SRL has none of those!! He didn't dominate Like Pacquiao!!Comment
