Physically the "new" Ortiz "should" win. He is bigger, stronger and his punches are harder and maybe even faster now.
That's his offense. We saw that he can forget about his defense, in both the Maidana fight and even in his victory over Berto. This can leave him open for the same outcome against Maidana. Ortiz may come out trying to end it in Rd 1, and may well succeed. If Maidana can survive and get his own in, it could be a repeat of their 1st fight.
The mental factor is whole 'nother story. Some fighters are deeply affected and frightened forever more by losing to a guy; others can't wait to return the favor. The public bluster can in no way indicate which is really going on deep down in Ortiz.
So it should be a damn good fight, even though it will likely be very short--shorter than their first one.
