Vic had a GREAT win against berto and as for me he's earned a fan for life. But he needs to chill with the goofy **** when it comes to Maidana. Dude, he made u quit. Stop making excuses and lying about what happened.

I know, right? Victor is starting to sound a lot like Amir Khan. Some times these fighters are not doing themselves any favors when they open their mouths up like that.

Who knows if Vic could even beat Maidana in a rematch (I don't know that Victor would actually take it now) but what happens if he loses for a second time against Maidana (and that could realistically happen)? How ludicrous would he look then? I mean really, how silly would he look, after saying Maidana is nowhere near his own caliber and will never be champion material, if he lost to him AGAIN in a rematch? It's like the way Khan talked about McCloskey after their fight, but atleast Khan won that one. Victor lost to a guy he basically says is a bum. He doesn't even realize how bad that makes HIMSELF sound.

I really do think Ortiz's performance against Berto have people fooled into thinking he has totally redeemed himself. Berto was a fucking soft chinned bird legged muscle bound hype job to the core with no foot or head movement paired with no inside fighting ability outside of flashy uppercuts. Just an athletic fighter overpaid and overhyped by HBO's spin machine.

If Ortiz was so confident he'd beat Maidana again he wouldn't be talking like this. He deserves a good fight sometime in the near future, but I honestly still don't think he is all that.

Ortiz is considered the best fighter outside of Pac, Floyd and Shane right now which goes to show how weak the division is now. I wouldn't mind seeing a Jones-Ortiz fight but we know the whole story there between GBP and TR.

I can't really blame Vic for talking the way he is. I'd be pissed off about constantly being asked and criticized about a fight that happened 2 years ago. Even after he beat Berto people still brought up the Maidana fight.
