You've said ATLEAST 10 times in this thread alone that Manny doesn't fight guys who are "young, hungry, champion coming off a dominate wins"... but please tell me when was the last time Floyd Mayweather fought someone "young, hungry, champion coming off a dominate win? Please don't say Hatton. ODLH, Marquez? Nope. And you can't say Mosely either because he wasn't young and hungry. See how that works? You can't hardly find a champion today that fits that critiera. It's obvious your dislike for "Pac fans" fuels your desire to discredit Manny Pacquiao. Whenever someone criticizes another fighter you always label them as Pac fans. Not everyone here is ONLY a pac fan, and it certainly doesn't make their opinion about another fighter invalid just because you label them a "Pac fan". Just because Oritiz had a great showing against a guy, who alot of people believed was unproven and undeserving of the status he was being given, doesn't mean that he is automatically the #1 threat against a guy of Pacquiaos caliber. Two flawed guys went at it and knocked each other down a couple of times in a tough fight, and automatically the winner is good enough to be 'the next guy to beat Manny Pacquiao'? I still don't really understand how Ortiz is considered #3 welter weight after having one fight at the weight and beating a guy that shouldn't have been that high on the list in the first place. It's not like Victor was dominate in any rankings before that fight, why after one fight at WW should he be listed anywhere in the top of the list @WW AT THIS TIME?
I think Victor is good and he has a great chance of working his way up to be even better, but to say he is #3 @ WW at this time and to think he could beat the likes of Cotto, Mosely, hell even Paul Williams AT THIS TIME seems a bit premature. Some people seem to be forgetting there are still a lot of good welter weights out there that aren't appreciated enough. AND some great up and comers that are as good or on par with where Victor Ortiz is now.

But every single Pacquaio opponent, has hit him with their best shot.
Come on man, Diaz was in a better position than Ortiz is in right now ?
Hatton was in a better position that Ortiz is in right now ?
Clottey was in a better position than Ortiz is in right now ?
Margarito was in a better position than Ortiz is in right now ?
Mosley was in a better position than Ortiz is in right now ?
If you truly believe that those guys were in a better position than Ortiz is now, then you just shredded Pac's recent resume'.
Ortiz is young, looks stronger than ever, and you can never hold the Maidana loss against him when he was clearly fighting overly aggresive like a young inexperienced fighter would do. he still dropped Maidana more than once which is more than i can say for anyone else. Now he has filled out and looks to be a real welterweight contender, i wouldnt bet against him against any of the top 140 lb fighters even Bradley. i think that fight should happen at 147. Mayweather and Pac need to fight these kinds of fighters. period. its easy to say they would kill them all, but i want to see it rather than brush it off as hype and then watch Pac face another fighter coming off a loss or on the decline. its not fair to these young guys.

Everyone pretty much called all of Pac's fights before he even started training so to say Ortiz is not ready for him is something I can't cosign because according to the sport of boxing. Pac ain't fight nobody worth it since JMM.

about it. Ortiz would probably pressure Cotto and pressure shakes Cotto. Listen, we can all agree to disagree but right now I want to see Ortiz fight another top fighter and then I can see for myself. How will he get better if he avoids the best fighters for the big money fights?

Just cause guys are young in the sport don't automatically make them in the stay away category. These are the years where they are supposed to be taking it to the guys who held the torch this long. It's funny how they are trying to say I'm bugging for thinking Ortiz has a shot at these guys or atleast be competitive but in the same breath complain about Pac fighting Mosley and Floyd possibly fighting Spadafora. this guys should wait mentality ain't cutting it for me and this is the reason why the sport is hurting because promoters feel like their fighters is not ready so keep spoon feeding them. That's EXACTLY why Berto and Lopez got ****** up because they weren't properly tested. If Ortiz keeps fighting guys he can dominate then he will get lazy and too confident like he did against Maidana.
