  • This is why I can't stand Victor Ortiz. he say nobody is left for him at 140. He acts like he cleaned it out. The only top 10 guy he fought at 140 was Marcos Maidana and he got his ass handed to him. did he fight Bradley? did he fight Khan?

He beat a built up guy in Berto. everybody had questions about Berto and Ortiz acts like he beat an Al Haymon hype job.

Ortiz moved up to welterweight because outside of Manny and Floyd it's a pretty weak divison. 140 was too much for his ass. you can call me a hater but facts are facts.

he fights Maidana and loses. he fights Peterson and draws. The two best guys he fought at 140. yeah nobody is left for him. I can't wait for someone to expose this two faced *****

GEZZZ... Pac is fighting Shane next 2 weeks time YET you already want him to fight Matinez and Ortiz... do you really wants him dead???

        • I think Ortiz needs to beat Maidana first, to prove he can handle a shot.

Hold on, exactly what words are we talking about here ?

Words are combined to construct a sentence.

A sentence is either factually correct, or it is not.

Specifially, which words were invalid ?

If you are gonna throw my words under a bus, let's not generalise.

              Rubbish.

Clottey was unmarked, and never in trouble.

These were the excuses that Clottey gave during an interview.

Each of these excuses were used in a different sentence.

              1.) " I don't know how to explain..... "
2.) " I really don't understand what happened to me in that fight..... "
3.) " I just think it was one of those things..... "
              4.) " I don't know what happened..... "
5.) " I knew I could hurt him when I threw my power shots..... "
              6.) " I didn't feel like his punches really hurt me..... "
              7.) " I felt OK after..... "
8.) " there are so many reasons the fight happened the way it did..... "

              http://www.boxingscene.com/clottey-b...rgarito--28918

Clottey put on one-hell-of an inept performance for somebody who appeared to be able to hit, and hurt, his opponent at will.

He ignored every instinct that a " fighter " possesses.

And the backing off in round 6 (was it?), when Manny was on the ropes covering up after Clottey had out-punched him..... was more than bizarre.

Clottey stopped his assault, backed up to the centre of the ring, Manny came forward, Clottey gloved up, and away Manny went..... just like clockwork.

I have only ever seen that happen in the gym, or during an exhibition match.

As I said, that went against every instinct that a " fighter " has.

Bro, you can go fishing all day long if you wish, but your success will only be judged upon the size of the fish that you bring home..... and that one was a tiddler

Where I come from, ya gotta throw those little ones back

Well, Hatton was never really a top fighter, but he was well-faded at that point, and had just had his clock cleaned by Mayweather..... Cotto was well-faded also, and had been battered by Margarito.

They were both cracked egg's, well-faded, and coming off devastating losses.

Many great fighters did not possess, or use, a good jab, including a number of ATG's.

Prime is not defined by your skillset or style, and not even necessarily by age either. Prime is defined by how "on top of your game" you happen to be, and right now..... Ortiz is on top of his game.

None of Pac's last 8 opponents (incl Mosley) were " on top of their game ".

              • Haters love to see Pac fighting young guys in welterweight instead of the top guys in 147 lbs. Haters always make sense. If Pac had done it, he'd be ducking Cotto and Clottey who were the top guys in boxing. They would rather see Pac fight unrated young guys so he woulnt be getting as much praised rhe is getting now. So name a young prime boxers Pac should have fought in welterweight instead of Cotto and Clottey? Its for grustler, flint, leaduppercut and to all haters out there? You guys keep bringing it up anyway. So Pac should fight young prime boxers who are not rated just to prove ur point?

                  Absolutely, boxingscene's #1 match-maker nails it again.

If Pacquiao and Mayweather do not fight each other, then the very next name that either one should pull out of the hat, must be Ortiz.

Then how hungry was Clottey, because you were giving him credit ?
