This was meant to be this way because in his next fight, Kessler fought at home in Denmark vs. Froch, another boxer that fought on the road after having his first fight at home in the UK.

Ward-Taylor, Ward's original second fight of the Super Six was supposed to take place in Taylor's hometown of Arkansas or around the U.S. South. Taylor withdrew from the tournament instead of fighting Ward. You think Allan Green is going to come in as a substitute and get a home field advantage? What is a home field advantage to Allan Green? He is American after all, isn't he? He did fight in America, right? How many of the other Super Six alternates even had one fight in their home state? Answer: Zero.

Ward-Dirrell, Ward's original third fight of the Super Six was rumored to be taking place in either Dirrell's hometown of Detroit or nearby Ward in Oregon. Dirrell withdrew from the tournament with a medical problem, and Ward was given the "forfeit victory" over Dirrell, and instead fought a non-tournament bout vs. Sakio Bika to get tuned up and get another title defense under his belt. Nobody has a problem with Bute defending his trinket 10 times in Canada vs. street vagrants, surely Ward isn't doing anything to personally piss you off.

Finally, Ward-Abraham and Ward-Froch, the Super Six contract states that semifinals and finals must take place in America. All 8 of the original and alternate Super Six competitors knew this fact when they signed their individual names on the contract.
Errmm... According to the promotors agreement Ward was to have homefield in all his 3 groupstagefights. You are reaching.

its alright, Froch's just having a bit of a whinge.

No harm in that. Its not like he's threatening to pull out of the fight.

Is that why Gary Shaw and Dan Goosen were looking hard at Oregon before Dirrell withdrew?

Plus what do you mean by homefield? Does homefield=America like homefield=England to Froch? Well in that case, yes, since he was supposed to fight Kessler at home and his next two scheduled fights were against Americans.

Ward's having the 4th fight in California too. Why couldn't he fight Abraham in Germany?

Is it because there's a good chance the referees there not permit him to cheat (deliberately headbutt and hit while holding)?

Is Ward afraid the testing in Europe will detect whatever PEDs the previously convicted BALCO founder Victor Conte is giving him?

No, Ward wanted to fight Abraham in Germany, he even told his promoter, Dan Goosen, to talk to Sauerland and work out a deal to get Ward-Abraham to Germany, or even Finland. Ward is tired of the rumors being propagated about him on the internet. Unfortunately, Sauerland came back and said "No" because the semifinals and finals of the Super 6 have to take place in America and Hershmann wouldn't budge.

Are you sure they where or perhaps this was just phoney as Dirrell and Ward was never going to fight or maybe Goosen was just being nice.

In the first fightcamp 360 we saw Ward bragging about getting homefield throughout and Goosen trying to downplay Ward's outburst.

Homefield in this case is likely = A Goosen promotion (which would be in jOakland).

I don't understand why this fight is not being held in the place where they can make the most money??I live in NY AC is like an hour and a half for me I had every intention on going to this..But I just don't understand why they won't do it in the UK if they stand to make the most money there..Does'int Showtime pick the judges anyway??So there's no worry of robbery..

.... and Ward knew that as well so him (allegedly) asking for the fight to be in Germany is a freebie.

We'll have to wait and see if he keeps voicing this. Judging from this blurb, he doesn't seem upset at all. Sounds like the reporter is. Even the quote in the headline is a paraphrase.
