Am I missing something? I've been to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City for a Gatti fight and that place holds around 10,000-13,000. Is he assuming that only 2,800 people will show up or is he thinking about the ballroom of a hotel. Boardwalk Hall is where lots of big fights are held inlcuding Pavlik-BHop, Martinez-PWill, and all of Gatti's fights. The judges will be from different countries anyway. This should not be an issue. Froch-Ward in the Garden would be huge.

does Froch really appear angry in what he is saying, the title is mis leading. As Timba says it's the **** venue that seems to be the annoying factor. Froch tried to get Showtime to move it to Notts by stumping up for the cost of film crew travel etc, Showtime said no a couple of days later Froch accepted the decision.
This is just a repeat story with a misleading headline!
I think Froch has accepted it's gonna be stateside, that aint the problem, as the article states he is relishing the chance to fight at Madisson Square but he has to get through this and I'd be disapointed fighting in a meeting room too

It's not fair that Andre Ward gets ALL his Super Six fights in his home country and home state of California, while Froch gets only ONE at home and has to travel to foreign countries for the next THREE.
The Super Six contract that they all signed stated the officials should be from neutral countries, but Andre Ward has had California Boxing Commission officials for all his fights, including crooked referees like Jack Reiss who permit him to deliberately headbutt and otherwise cheat as much as he wants without being penalized.

bad reporting. froch ISNT angry ...he is just a bit disappointed that he couldnt get in front of his fans as he's been on the road last 2 fights. i'm a big fan but he cant do right for doing wrong when it comes to the media. he'd be better off just not saying anything but then he gets criticised for being dull.
his fists can do the talking next couple fights - take a home crowd fight and then go to canada and unify.
then its all gravy ....nice domestic bust up with whoever comes through groves/degale and probably wins the wbo belt

If it was in the contract, no reason to be whining now. Get the hell over it, Glen Johnson should never have to fight in his opponent's home town ever again. Froch just sounds like he's pissed he won't get a hometown decision if Glen beats his ass.

Ward-Taylor, Ward's original second fight of the Super Six was supposed to take place in Taylor's hometown of Arkansas or around the U.S. South. Taylor withdrew from the tournament instead of fighting Ward. You think Allan Green is going to come in as a substitute and get a home field advantage? What is a home field advantage to Allan Green? He is American after all, isn't he? He did fight in America, right? How many of the other Super Six alternates even had one fight in their home state? Answer: Zero.
Ward-Dirrell, Ward's original third fight of the Super Six was rumored to be taking place in either Dirrell's hometown of Detroit or nearby Ward in Oregon. Dirrell withdrew from the tournament with a medical problem, and Ward was given the "forfeit victory" over Dirrell, and instead fought a non-tournament bout vs. Sakio Bika to get tuned up and get another title defense under his belt. Nobody has a problem with Bute defending his trinket 10 times in Canada vs. street vagrants, surely Ward isn't doing anything to personally piss you off.
Finally, Ward-Abraham and Ward-Froch, the Super Six contract states that semifinals and finals must take place in America. All 8 of the original and alternate Super Six competitors knew this fact when they signed their individual names on the contract.

The contract is pre determined and the fight is happening in the states but if no one over there is interested in the fight it just shows the floors in the contract in the first place... never mind, those who want to watch can tune in on tele but maybe the organisers shouldn't have been so rigid in their outline for the semi's if no one can be arsed going to the event over there
