Berto is definitely being protected. I gave him a pass for pulling out the first time against Mosley. When he overpriced himself during the second negotiations, I knew what time it was.

Berto is trying to go the path of Floyd Mayweather and keep his zero at all costs. The difference is Floyd took risks on his way to greatness.

Berto is trying to cut corners by fighting the lower ranked fighters at WW.

He'll probably impress the boxing world by knocking out the head case, Victor Ortiz. I won't be impressed until he beats a legit threat like Cotto, Cintron (without the jumpman sneakers), Angulo, Clottey, Margarito, etc...

You know???? I bought that gotdamn fight. And I have to say, I felt the same type of whorishly dirty feeling I feel, everytime I buy a Top Rank PPV card. Payin that type of money on bull***** fights makes me wanna immediately run some scalding hot bath water, hop in, bust out the can of Comet cleaner, and scub my ****in skin off with a Brillo pad.

It makes me feel like such a Boxing Whore when I pay for those fights. I felt the same why when I paid for the Pac/Clottey and the Pac/Margo fights. Just Whorish!!!! :lookin:

From what I remember reading about the negos for that fight GBP offered 55/45 and Berto held still at 50/50..Now this is a while back but I think I remember reading that on BTalk I could be wrong tho..
