Since we're on the subject. Better Resume Floyd or Roy?

I rate the **** out of Roy, though. I totally understand someone who doesn't have him where I do (15-20 all time...I think he's that good)Comment

You're just hoping he doesnt close his show gracefully. You cant hate on a fighter like that. Floyd was in with more dangerous guys and *** rocked Roy has been knocked out cold before.
I dont know how you feel on the subject but most seem to think its against God for a Floyd to be mentioned in the top 50. Some in the top 100 is a stretch. I just find it totally bogus when there is a valid debate between Roy and Floyd IMO. To me its no doubt Roy is in the top 100. And should be top 50 with no argument. For me even higher. I dont want anyone to take it as if I hate Roy but prefer Money May.Last edited by studentofthegam; 04-04-2011, 07:02 PM.Comment

exactly why i said hes tougher...
and irregardless of what u think of the two, and i am a roy fan. roy wows the crowd no doubt, but floyd's defense is head and shoulders above roys, that cant be argued. the skillset thing is very arguable...but to me, guys like floyd/b hop and even james toney are the most skilled guys ive had the privledge of seeing fight live.Comment

how can the defence not be argued when you just admitted floyd gets hit more?exactly why i said hes tougher...

Roy's resume is so underrated, it's not even funny:
Toney
Hopkins
McCallum (OK, old I'll give you that)
Tarver
Reggie Johnson
Ruiz
Malinga
Hill
Harding
Griffin
Just because it could've been better doesn't mean it's not stellar.Comment

ur making it seem like floyd gets/got hit a lot. he didnt and he doesnt. hes tougher for the simple fact that when he does get hit, he takes hits a whole lot better than roy.
as far as the defense thing goes, roy's defense was his offense and his athleticisim. very unorthodoxed and very reliant on his reflexes. when those went away, so did his defense. so yes, floyd is the better defensive fighter. **** b hop is the better defensive fighter...**** fat ass james toney is a better defensive fighter than roy.Comment
