I damn sure did and EVERYONE knew baldo was gonna get smashed up.

they have to sell the fight people, they had to say something. read what boxing people were saying. not that baldo could win, that's for sure. people were chastising that fight and that zab was still allowed to fight floyd

i was a hardcore boxing fan and maybe a teen heard that but that's not what the folks who knew what they were talking about were saying.

baldo was supposed to be a tuneup for zab, sh it he was already signed for the floyd fight

It was a subpar win. Beating Zab Judah is no great accomplishment, and in no way whatsoever was Baldomir even in the conversation for best welterweight at the time considering Antonio Margarito was a champion in the same division.

Since when is beating Zab no big deal? I learn something everyday. Nobody picked him to beat Zab. Zab was and is a tough out and a champion. Thats what I mean when I say all fighters lose value when it comes to Floyd comparison. But at the end of the day if all Floyds wins were nothin special then by association and altercation no fighter was worth a damn from 1997 to the present.

Baldomir is an OK win. Hes someone who just kind of stumbled across the lineal title, even though in reality he isnt that awesome of a fighter(even though he won it legitimately). Kind of like Billy Backus, but at least Backus beat an ATG in Napoles.(albeit via cut stoppage).

fact is Baldomir didnt do jack **** after Mayweather beat him.

I give credit to Mayweather for beating Baldomir, but not a huge amount. it would have been better if Mayweather beat Cotto or Margarito

as for Judah...its a solid win. Judah is one of those guys that always gives fighters trouble at least for a little bit, but the thing is he did lose to a number of other fighters, most notably at WW(Cotto, Clottey, Spinks, Baldomir).

Who the hell has Zab Judah ever been? People go on and on about his talent and he was and still is a talented fighter, but please. Mayweather gets the proper credit for that win, Baldomir gets the proper credit for that upset, but Judah has never been some great champion.

first off, zab has ALWAYS been overrated. look what kostya did to him. look what clottey and cotto did to him. look what the slowest no poerest having lineal cham ever did to him.

cotto and clottey damn near killed zab.

zab was quick enough to catch cory but other than that, he's NOTHING at ww. have you ever looked at his WW resume? it's a quarter step aboive rafael pineda's

Only a few become great champions. But he was a true legitimate champ and combine that with his skill set theres no way to down grade a win over him. All thats asked for is proper credit without all the "but this" and "but that".

Haha, I remember this. "Why aren't you fighting the guy who beat Zab?" "Why aren't you fighting the legitimate WW champion?" "Why aren't you fighting Baldomir are you scared of him?" Then after Floyd answered all Brian Kenny's questions...ESPN:"FLOYD FOUGHT A BUM WITH 9 LOSES!" lol.
