In such a close fight, every second counts.

come on, we all know calzaghe clearly won a decently close fight. he took over the fight and did WHAT HE WANTED TO DO from round 3 or 4 onward. hopkins had a moment or two in some of the later rounds.

lets just keep **** real, is calzaghe some legend on par with Ali. the answer is a RESOUNDING NO. Does Calzaghe have better accolades over the course of his career then hopkins? another resounding NO. BUT, what matters, when they got in the ring together, both past their primes equally, and calzaghe proved he was the better man, plain and simple. calzaghe would have beat hopkins at any point in their respective careers.

if you clearly win at least 7 rounds and knock your opponent down doesn't that constitute robbery? you can't even make a case for calzaghe in any of those rounds because he's outlanded by the harder punches by such a wide margin. yes calzaghe did better at the end but too bad this is round by round basis and wasn't enough.

Everyone says BHop made JC look bad in that fight (which is true) but he made himself look really bad, he seemed gassed after R3 and started falling to the floor feigning injury to take breathers. If I was a BHop fanboy I'd want to forget that fight rather than watch it in slow motion.

To judge a fight without bias you have to see the whole fight. How does anyone know whats been cut has no punches being thrown?

Thats why watching the unedited fight is all that matters.

Also a fight isnt scored on punches being landed alone. Ring generalship, aggression, etc all count.
