Its takes an edited video to make Hopkins look like he won, check any poll on here about the fight the vast majority of ppl though Joe won, I guess nobody knows how to score is that it?

that is it. using the 4 scoring criteria for each round how can you have calzaghe winning?

clean punching-hopkins outlanded calzaghe by a wide margin and landed the harder punches in at least 7 of the rounds. watching the videos will confirm this.

defense-hopkins barely got hit in most of the rounds especially the ones he won.

effective aggression-this one seems to be the major sticking point. people that score it for calzaghe think it's just called aggression but it's effective aggression. it has nothing to do with coming forward or just being on the attack. it's what happens when you attack. swinging wildly and missing most your punches is the definition of ineffective aggression. people seem to forget that counter punching is a way of attacking. hopkins picked his spots and landed clean punches then reset. he was effective when he chose to be aggressive.

ring generalship-another sticking point for most. does a good general just march his troops forward shooting at air? no that would be a terrible general. a good general knows when to attack and when to retreat. a good general sets traps for his opponents. hopkins won most of the rounds because he was able to move, land, move without getting hit. calzaghe started winning this category in most of the later rounds because hopkins wasn't able to stop calzaghe quick enough.

where are the body shots? he hits him well below the belt twice and he doubles over in pain.of course i wouldn't expect a calzaghe fan to be able to decipher where the punches are landing.

have i ever brought up calzaghe's race? i bring up how he fought bums and recycled fighters. i bring up how calzaghe got a lot of unwarranted early stoppages. i bring up how calzaghe avoided most of the top fighters. i bring up how he was scared to fly but then would go on holiday between fights. that's a lot of substance. you are the only one that brings up race because you are a one dimensional poster just like calzaghe was a one dimensional fighter.

not all of them but most. there's a big difference between using little dirty tricks during the course of a fight and using a dirty trick to knockout someone. but you don't care about the integrity of boxing as long as your guy wins.
