Look boxing gains nothing if Hopkins wins against Joe, same against pascal. Hopkins clearly won atleast 5 rounds add the knockdown it was a draw at least. But once again we will never know if Joe would had beat a prime Hopkins, who wasn't prime when Taylor dethroned him, Or if he could had beat a prime Jones Jr. I take nothing away front Joe fantastic skills. Boxing is about money there is no money in Hopkins, but there is money in Joe.

effective aggression-calzaghe wasn't effective at all until the last 4 rounds
ring generalship-calzaghe a general? he looked like private calzaghe who was being sent to the slaughter while using his face as a human shield
lets pretend for a moment that calzaghe actually won the effective aggression and ring generalship criteria during the first 8 rounds even though he really didn't. that makes the criteria 2 to 2 with hopkins winning the most important criteria since this is boxing. doesn't hopkins still win most of the rounds? shouldn't the tie breaker go to the guy landing the clean punches? can anyone dispute this with anything logical?
Walking forward is not Effective Aggression.
Just being aggressive is not Effective Agression.
Trying to apply pressure is not effective agression.
And we know Joe failed at criteria 1: clean punching.
I've see some Joe fans arguing that he was effectively agressive. Which rounds?

But why are you projecting your weight problems onto other people?
Don't worry buddy- Deep Throating Joe's **** full time is probably going to give you enough excercise to keep your weight issues in check. Probably.

Is that what passes as comedy in your bubble world? Wow.
So what's it like loving another man so unconditionally that you refuse to acknowledge obvious facts about him? Is it latent ****sexuality or do you just have a school girl crush?

Calzaghe won EVERY round. It was Calzaghe's first title shot and a GREAT win for him.

Another one was Fireman Jim Flynn, whose SECOND fight in 1912 with Jack Johnson was a classic. He kept deliberately butting Johnson in the face all through the 9 rounds it lasted. The fight film shows this very explicitely. Maybe about 50 butts one after the other. it's even written up in BOXREC. Look up the fight there.
I've never seen ANYTHING like this for barefaced fouling. And, although the ref "warned" him, he did nothing about it. Johnson KO'd him.

not to mention Eubank at that point in his career had questionable decisions over guys like Ray Close and Henry Wharton(from what Ive heard from British fans that followed his career, havent seen the fights myself).
When Calzaghe and Eubank did meet, Eubank was coming out of retirement at only seven days notice and was weighing over 190lbs with under a week to make 168Eubank, meanwhile, had been training to fight Mark Prince at light heavyweight, but with just two weeks to get down to 168lbs the 31-year-old chose to accept the title boutLast edited by Steak; 04-03-2011, 11:57 PM.
