Folks better not confuse Maidana with Cotto, even at this point in Cotto's career.

You act like Amir is the only guy who was ever big at the weight he started out at.

Why don't you whine about Tommy Hearns, Oscar De La Hoya, Diego Corrales? They all spent the early parts of their careers beating on naturally smaller guys.

Why don't you comment on how much of a big-ass LW John Murray is?

Well, we know why. Going on about those fighters holds no interest for a common, trashy p*ki-basher.

              1.5, to be exact, imho.
That's pretty much my opinion of him too. He has a lot of skill, fast hands and feet, is brave, trains very hard and willing to test himself. I like watching him fight. His punch resistance isn't great, but he took shots from Maidana that would have dropped a lot of fighters at 140 and made it out with a very good win.

He's probably worth £20 million already bro. If by that time he has added a few more belts and another £15-20 mil in the bank, why not retire young and with your health? Every fighter has the right to retire whenever they choose too, and all fans should respect that right as it's not us in there getting punched in the face.

What makes anyone think he could hang with forget about beat Cotto? Yeah Maybe when Khan is 28 and Cotto has taken much much more punishment he would have a shot.

Whats not to like about Amir? He wants to fight the best... He didn't have to fight Maidana.. In fact, most people would have COMPLETELY UNDERSTOOD if he steered clear of him. Which brings me to my point.... Amir's biggest weaknesses come in the form of his exaggerated confidence and jaw... He has a great set of skills that are easy to envy... He has elite handspeed, B+ power and likes to throw combinations. He just can't do enough to convince me that his chin ISN'T ineffective. YES he beat Maidana fair and square. But Maidana almost took him to a dark place in the process... Make no mistake, Amir went to hell and back on that fight. When Rene caught him in the fight and made his legs buckle like that I knew I was right about his chin.

That being said I believe a fight down the road with Berto would be VERY interesting. I think its one of the best fights that can be made in boxing. A fight with Cotto would also seem to make sense. I just don't see Amir ever being able to get in the ring and compete with the likes of Floyd or Manny...

Goals are good, but Khan needs to learn how to slip and roll other fighters punches. He will never last at the higher weights with his defense. Unless he is fighting bums.

Not a true boxing fan?? Haha I'm true enough a boxing fan to be up all night waiting to watch another Rican take a knee. :P

Anyway I've been watching Amir since his amateur days, including practically every pro bout. Trust me he's an overprotected hype job living off his speed and cleverly cherry picked opponents - in the ams speed kills but without the headgear he's a knockout waiting to happen. The only reason he fought maidana is because they thought he'd never land the bombs - Amir was slick against Paulie and chino got a very very close decision against chop chop of all people... Without these events Kahn was NEVER stepping in with Maidana.

Bradley is overrated and a cheat so for that fight expect a big deal to be made about the headbutts in the lead up, then a crooked ref for the night. Amir will prob win ud. He's starting to fill out a bit too (his back looks like a man's back since working with ariza) so combined with his bloating up between fights he'll have to move up soon, esp since JMM beat Kats so the prospect of an ageing legend to further pad his resume is out the window. At 147, just like another poster said, they'll cherry pick and pick up some paper belt. The problem is there's a lot more talent at 147 and 154 so it's far more risky. I mean seriously 154? Sergio would actually coffinise Amir. This whole BS about being better than Pac is the best thing tho because I really believe him-in SPARRING he probably beats Pac. What he needs to remember is that it's sparring, and he's there for a very specific reason which is training Pac to be fast, hit a mover and react to someone so quick. But based on his interviews and twitter Kahn has taken a lot of confidence from this so hopefully his handlers make a mistake and you guys see the truth some day. He's been talking Mayweather (LOL!) a lot and I guarantee you if that contract makes it's way anywhere near Floyd's camp ODST will be a thing of the past-money will snatch the pen right out your hand.
