Yep, that blatant one, probably the one that got you fired up, was bizarre.

As for Bradley's power,it makes me laugh that so many doubt his punching power because of his KO%..The man knocks most of his opponents down to the canvas or rocks them really good and the fighters he is fighting never rush in on him and basically never make Bradley fight their fight..I think this fight will be so good because Khan has the physical gifts to really push Bradley and make him fight when he does not want to..But if Khan get's into a thinking match with Bradley he will be dominated..

This is a great match up,I'm taking the thinking man for the win(Bradley)but Khan is dangerous..
Yep, that is absurd, nobody has ever walked through Bradley's punches.

Well yeah, I mean first of all the man rarely allows for any inside fighting in any of the fights he refs - you see him pulling them apart when there's clearly action still going on in there instead of waiting atleast a few seconds to see if they can work out of it. And it was blatant in the Kahn/Maidana fight. He actually stopped the action several times while they were still infighting, and of course everyone agrees with when he broke them up several times when Kahn was holding but Maidana was getting his licks in because his hand was free (and that was a CRUCIAL time in the fight I might add). The other thing that bugged me was that he took that point away from Maidana for an attempted short elbow that MISSED. I'm not saying it was right, but if you watch it in slow motion Maidana wasn't even looking in the direction of Kahn or Cortez (because Kahn had spun around and was holding him from behind)- and Cortez had his arm around Marcos waist pulling on him (I think Cortez was more angry that it almost hit him then anything). It's possible Maidana thought it was Kahn but that's besides my point. My point is that he took a point from Maidana for an elbow that was neither done viciously (he didn't have power behind it) nor did it land, but he could have given Maidana a very stern warning and had he done it again then, yeah everyone would agree it would be completely appropriate. But fine, he took a point, whatever. YET... YET... he warned Kahn ATLEAST 10 times for pushing down on Maidanas neck, and before the action even started, in the 6th round I believe, the fighters were waiting for the bell, Cortez clearly said to Kahn "Don't push down on the head Amir" a-g-a-i-n. Although Kahn did it less in the later rounds, Cortez warned him over and over and over again without taking a point. I know it probably sounds like b1tching or crying to some people but it is frustrating when it comes to Cortez because he starts every fight with his "I'm fair but I'm firm" B.S. yet it never is. When they say "third party in the ring", Cortez takes it as he needs to be a big part of the show IMO. It's like he thinks he's not doing his job if he isn't part of the action. Now everytime I see his name as the ref for a fight I think oh Lord, what will it be this time? JUST LET THEM FIGHT FOR GODS SAKE JOE!

It isn't just the Kahn/Maidana fight that makes me dislike Cortez. I can't think of any specific fights ATM, but for shorter fighters trying to get inside against a guy with some significant reach or guys who use a lot of movement, getting inside to fight is imperitive for them and Joe Cortez is the worst ref that could be in there in a fight like that because the opponent has even less of a chance of winning in a case like that. He might as well start his montra as "You can only fight from the outside, good luck with that. Now touch em up" lol.

Geez, I wasn't expecting to have a reply this long but, oh well, that's my story... and I'm sticking to it.

No it is definitely not just that fight, I have not been a fan of Cortez for a long time. He was getting ripped years ago, he has always involved himself too much.

Even recently he got blasted for the Mayweather/Hatton, especially by Hatton fan's, he did a miserable job in that fight. Remember the point deduction?

I am surprised nobody's got sig's made up dedicated to him

Khan could be very successful at 147 since its a very thin division. 154 is a long time away if he ever should campaign there, which is way too early to tell.

He seems to have the frame for it but I'll believe it when I see it.

successful if he stays away from berto, mike jones, pwill and ortiz, yea. at 147 all those guys are too much for him. so if he does stop at 147 he'll be tippy toeing his way thru the division.
