He'll outbox Cotto and Alvarez at 154 easy in 3-4 years when he's used to the weight.
He barely beat a slow slow slow maidana.. I give him a chance vs bradley but at welter he will get smoked. So if pwill comes down and wins a belt at welter can khan beat pwill? then there is light middle.. Pirog martinez cotto etc... yous are deluded. The is a guy that at light weight was struggling against blown up super feather weights at brittish level..

If you think Khan could beat cotto your know nothing

Khan has amazing speed but as someone else pointed out, not too much skill. He better make as much money as he can as a lot of guys out there can beat him. Because his chin is weak, they beef up his legs but that makes his punches weak so guys know they can walk through him.
No way, Amir is very highly skilled, don't listen to that rubbish.

He only has one or question marks hanging over him bro.

      1.5, to be exact, imho.

        I could be wrong, but.....

Khan never said " survive "..... and right now, he has no chance.

He is talking about..... in the distant future, after working his way up to welter, preparing himself for a possible one-off clash against a targeted beatable opponent in order to obtain a title at 154. Similar to what Pac did.

Hence the " retire at 28 " comment.

I could be wrong, that's just the way I took his comments.

Why would you plan to retire at 28?

I doubt it, but he could most likely beat Zaveck or Senchenko, and then hang around 147 for a couple of years fighting lesser guys like Berto has.

Then, I can see him being handed a JMW title, much like Pacquiao and Canelo.

Also, I actually rate the kid, I think in time, he could surprise at 147

I'm so sick of waiting for someone to break this china again. Damn you Maidana for being slow as ****.
I think what you have is plain hate buddy! By that you are not a true boxing fan! The fact is, Khan is improving under Roach and of sparring exposure with Pac whether you admit it or not. Only one thing is true, 28 years old is too young to retire for a successful boxer!

Got to admire the guys ambition. He might be looking to far ahead, but it's good to have goals set. He has established himself at 140, and I'm positive he'll clean out 140. 147 is a real tough division though.

I am from scotland and have seen every pro and most am fights he has had. he has 1 more fight at LW as he is a beast for that division. His previous fitness trainer before ariza was all about upper body strength..

Khan is already big at light welter. At Welter yeah he could probably win a title which would be what??? early 2012? thats one years time.. He wont be able to hang with anyone top 10 in light middle,. There are some young hungry guys in that division right now and when it comes to the time he is stepping up those guys will be solid light middleweights..

He could probably beat Cotto at 154 easy enough.

Cotto is simple a paper champion, Khan is far superior to him
