" manny beat them big guys ".....
Really ?
So, what " big guys " did Manny beat then ?
You mean Hoya, who weighed 145 ?
Nope, it can't be him you're talking about.
Do you mean Cotto ?
Nope, he weighed 145 as well.
So, do you mean Margarito ?
Margarito was a slow, plodding, faded, shop-worn, mediocre, welterweight BUM, with no KO power, who could not have beaten any of the top welter's..... and who had just been KTFO by ol' grandpa Mosley.
Your list of " big guys "..... aint too impressive from where I'm standing?
...until that happens, it's all speculation.Last edited by tomhawq; 03-21-2011, 01:10 PM.Comment

First of all Jesus is my idol dude and yes I would love to see Floyd fight Martinez. I think the chances are great because like I've always said "no one fighting around 154 can claim the P4P best spot without beating Martinez". I agree Pac should face Martinez @ 154 @ whatever weight comfortable for him.Comment

And if you compare that list with Floyd's ?!?! The result is ??
Ducked Cotto and Margarito at WW.....
Faced Marquez in a catchweight that not even respected.....

Sergio hasnt got a clue. So Pavlik who lost to grandpa BH isnt a no hoper, yet Cotto and Margarito are? What school of logic did you learn that from?
Your a disgrace to the sport to consider Cotto a no hoper. He is as brave or braver than you ever will be. He is a no hoper yet you want a fight with him somewhere down the line?
Talks a lot of trash recently sergio and i swear it will backfire on the mouthy guy.
Or are they just considered no hopers because Pac is just expected to beat just about everyone? Well pac cant help that. Guys considered no hopers against Pac, would be considered favourite against Sergio.
Margarito and Clottey had both battered Cotto. EVERYBODY was saying that Cotto looked shop-worn and faded after Clottey. Miguel was not on top of his game, he had an unsettled camp, no trainer to speak of, and he most certainly was not in his prime..... plus, Pacquiao tried to drain him on the scales.
See it for what it is.
How can you keep accepting that ****, fight-after-fight ?
The odd exception, like a Manfredo type fight, is understandable..... but there are question marks over every single Pacquiao opponent dating back to before JMM II.
Martinez is right man, whether you choose to believe it or not.
BTW, up to a few months back, EVERY fighter in the top 5 P4P list had shredded Manny's resume, including trainers, journo's, etc.
It's only you and a couple of Pac-fan's who haven't noticed.Comment

This thread's like watching a tennis game.
Martinez just wants a big payday, that's it, and when you're that desperate, you say the dumbest of things.
Nothing new, but just surprising coming from Sergio himself, usually a class act.Comment

tired of all of u pac fans claiming pac is the best but have such a problem when a great fighter calls him out.. martinez is the same size as margarito.. why shouldnt martinez have the right to call him out if he is the "best pound for pound fighter in the world?" if pac man is as good as yall make him seem, then he should fight him. pac is overrated!!!Comment
