I mean yo honestly. I'm always on here talking about boxing and breaking things down and then you always have somebody come out of left field and start talking greasy and clowning around. I show and prove by backing my talk up. I know you and others told me not to give these dudes no airtime but sometimes I feel like serving them. You are right though. I think a lot of people here are missing the real point of what Martinez has been trying to say in his last few interviews. He KNOWS and continually admits that MANNY PACQUIAO IS TOO SMALL for a legitimate fight. Sergio's been saying this since his post fight interview after anhialating Paul Williams and several times in this very interview. After being given the FOTY award (which was said to be on the merits of Martinez's performance & opposition) over Pacquiao, and as badly as he wants to become the #1 PD4PD in the world, AND KNOWING THAT A FIGHT WITH PACQUIAO would be considered a mismatch (his own words) because of size - His best option for campaigning to beat Pacquiao for the #1 spot is to try to play the better performance & opposition card. HE KNOWS A PACQUIAO FIGHT IS NOT REALISTIC, therefore the only route he can go to overcome him in rankings is to go the "I looked better against better competition" route. And because a fight between Martinez and Pacquiao will A) probably never happen and B) could get him more criticism then anything (Sergio was too big - NOT MY WORDS) then he is going the only sensable and realistic path that he can go. This is a smart move by Martinez and I don't think he's doing anything wrong by trying to campaign for the #1 spot without having to actually fight a man that he himself believes is TOO SMALL. People are taking his words too much out of context. This is not about fighting Pacquiao in the ring, it's about stating his case on his merits vs Pacquiaos merits.

Side Note: This could be another plus for the fans because maybe this will make Pacquiao stand up against Arum and his "offered opponents", and make more fights that the "real" fans want to see. Time for Manny to stand up and tell Arum who HE wants to fight. After all, Pacquiao is supposed to be all about "giving the fans what they want", right?

I get you but I don't think that's what Sergio has been saying. In my opinion Sergio has been punking Manny saying he doesn't have the heart to step up and fight him also that Manny is a fake cause he just fought for Sergio's old title, this is what Im hearing. To say PBF and Cotto (the guy Manny beat) would fight him but Manny won't is saying Manny doesn't have the balls to accept the challenge. On top of that now he's saying Manny fights guys on the downslide. It's clear that Sergio is trying to bluff Manny into a fight. There is absolutely nothing unfair about 2 guys that held the same title fighting for that same exact title again.

I'm not an boxing oracle. I just know what's up by knowing how to spot Bull**** and staying true by not letting anyone pull the wool over my eyes. You would have to ask Martinez to know the real reason but I would think Kirkland needs some more fights before Sergio after just coming home. Isn't Ward still in the super six tournament? Angulo is pricing himself out again. I honestly don't think Sergio Martinez is scarred to fight anyone in his weight range, so I won't make an excuse for him about being "too small".
