Middleweight king Sergio Martinez has taken a swing at Manny Pacquiao over his selection of opponents. Martinez would like to face Pacquiao at some point. He doesn't expect the fight to ever happen, because of their difference in height and weight. Instead, Martinez is focusing his energy on getting fights against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto.

Cotto fought for a vacant belt against Quintana. Like I said, the only fight that Cotto had that was worth mentioning was his win over Mosley. Mosley at that point was written off as he had struggled against Wright and Collazo. It wasn't until Shane beat Margarito that Shane was back at the top in the WW division.

The media can deem Pacquiao "Yellow Jesus" if they want to. His record is what has to stand up to scrutiny in the long run, and padding his record with 41 fights counts against him. Fighting his most important fights at catchweights also counts against him. Fighting everyone at welterweight as they were coming of huge losses counts against him.

I know every ******* in the world that has bought into Manny's so called "rise" like celebrities have bought into Scientology will want all the hype to be true, but you don't become the best by beating former top boxers who have fallen in rank due to being beaten RIGHT BEFORE Manny challenges them.
