Doesn't matter what any of Manny fans think about Martinez recent 3 opponents because in the sport of boxing. All of them are considered solid fighters and good wins for Sergio. That's why he is where is right now. Undefeated, 154 champion moving up to 154 Sergei Dzinzurik is a muhc better opponent then Clottey and Margarito. Cotto would have been a great win for Pac at 147 but 145? First Pac wasn't too small for 147, then he wasn't and then he moves up to fight for a 154 title at a 150 catchweight and then moves back down to 147 because he realized before the fight that he is too small but still took it for the title? That's some bull****. Pac has been using handicaps ever since he beat Hatton. Martinez is just stating the obvious.

Better than Margarito? No doubt, much better win than Clottey? Wouldn't go that far at all.

Sergei Dzinzurik is considered a better win for Martinez then Clottey and Margarito. Paul Williams trumps Cotto because Cotto didn't even want to fight Williams but instead opted to wait for Paul to vacate his title and fight Jennings for it vacantly. and Pavlik was definitely a better win than Oscar de la hoya, if you match their bigger man comp. I don't get where Pac fans are saying that Sergei is not considered a good fighter and win? I think you guys are just on the fame name side of the sport. I didn't see one respected boxing analyst that ****s on Sergei Dzinzurik like Manny Pacquiao fans.

For the same reason Margarito wasn't a great win for Pacquiao.

Pavlik was dominated by B-hop and Martinez just made it look like a replay of that fight.

Without a doubt, Martinez's claim to fame is that 2nd round KO of Pwill.

I'm a Martinez fan, but I can admit that he's still riding that wave.

His resume is about the same if not a bit better than Pac's recent opposition, so I can see why he's making his case, but to say all of his recent wins were "the best fights" is a bit too disingenuous when put under a microscope.

We all should know that Antonio Margarito was a better fighter when he fought Martinez 10 YEARS ago, then when Pacquiao fought him. Put Margarito and Martinez in the same ring in a rematch and Sergio brutalizes Margarito and almost kills him.
