Good for Cotto. I would love for him to avenge those losses. He's accomplished a lot.

No Berto fight? Come Cotto. It is ur duty to pass the torch to the next generation. Not doing this will be the death of boxing. Thanks to Chavez passing it to De La Hoya, and De La Hoya passing it to Manny, the struggling sport is still alive.

Now, I do understand that it would be MANNY's duty to pass the torch to Berto, but if Berto can't beat Cotto, than what would be the point?

      Fight him Cotto

I want to see the Margarito rematch. I feel like Cotto lost because of the loaded handwraps. But a rematch with Pacquiao is pointless. Cotto hasn't improved any to change that outcome. I think a fight with Angulo would be very entertaining. I would love to see him fight the winner of Berto/Ortiz. If Mayweather decides to fight again, that would also be a good fight.

Cotto is going to duck Martinez at 154 because him and Arum knows what's up.

Cotto was good but cheato busted him up and he's never been the same. Arum is just milking all he can from Cotto and the Ricans.
how do u duck someone that isnt even in ur weightclass?

martinez has the ring belt at 160 which has landed him some great fights with fighters that were looking to add an extra divisional title to their resume...he's sure to keep it until he loses it

martinez and cotto are my favorite active fighters but martinez is just too big for cotto...how would u feel if cotto called out juan diaz or nate campbell last year?

its extremely ironic how some of u manage to b1tch on cotto even though him and martinez are the only two high profile fighters that actually take on all comers

Margarito isn't even a top 50 all-time Mexican fighter. Cotto is top 10 all-time Rican fighter. Why would we care? You guys are the ones obssessing and insisting that Margarito used plaster-- as if a little plaster that can barely be absorbed onto a little sponge insert would make a difference. We lose nothing in a loss. You guys will be forced to stop obssessively making excuses if your guy loses. BTW, Mexicans don't do the same about Cheato Tito's over use of tape on his fists-- which would have a much, much greater effect than Margarito's use of a little plaster. Preesure's on you, kid.

Let's keep in mind that had Margarito used plaster before he'd have broken and or cut up his fingers since he intended to apply it to the insert between his hands and wraps. It seems very doubtful he ever used it.

Margarito destroys Cotto in the rematch.
how did margarito earn ur respect? he was spared of another stoppage loss by pac in the twelfth round and aside from a single body shot landed in round 6 he got utterly humiliated and beaten up losing every single round. cotto was winning most of the first 5 rounds even though he got knocked down twice against pac and stuck in there to go the distance...that earned my respect

what makes u think he belongs at jmw more than cotto? what's ur measuring bar exactly? because cotto's resume at 154>margarito's resume at 160 even though both had few fights at the weight.

Negative. Recall that Pac said immediately after the fight that he danced away the last round because Margarito was too dangerous. He didn't give Tony the round, Tony earned it. It wasn't until later that he changed it and said he was merciful to Tony because it made better PR. Cotto wasn't dangerous in the last round because he got blasted in a much earlier round than Tony.

he's said that a couple of times bro...he also said it was the hardest fight of his life in the post fight hbo interview....he said the same thing when he beat david diaz. did u see the diaz fight? it was like seeing a fighter punch a heavybag

how did tony earn it though? he couldnt see and he could barely move any other way than forward and backwards

cotto was done by the twelfth, yes, but he put up a way better fight in the first half of the fight

Martinez brought in like 2,500 people to his last fight (4,000 seat max) and oddly enough the ratings for his last fight haven't been released by Dibella and HBO even though they ALWAYS have the ratings for Saturday non PPV fights by the following Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.
