Loook at you guys fighting over the first rd INCOMPLETE scorecards. I guess it's amoral victory to be knocked out by Vitali Klitschko right after you allegedly won the first rd. Hide & Solis can both say they're the ONLY fighters to ever have a slight half a rd or full round advantage over him at any point in the fight. Perhaps it was just Vitali showing respect for Hide's speed & power.... same with Solis & just needed a few minutes to time them..with Sanders HE INTENTIONALLY didn't ktfo because he wanted to make him suffer for ****ing with his little bro.. boy Sanders looked more ****ed than Briggs at the end of that one....Lmao at your moral W!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, I found it very disappointing but it was a clear connected punch that ended Solis whether it was perfect, landed on he temple or top of the head or temple or not. Had Solis really had an injury and not been severely out of it he wouldnt have done the 'bambi on ice' impression the whole time he was getting up.

Solis and his camp claiming that it was injury only that was the reason for the fight ending is plain disrespectful for an ATG heavyweight who just happens to be from the Ukraine and happens to be white.

At least Rigondeaux won his fight today with an impressive first round TKO of his own against Casey....
The punch to the top of the head clearly did damage. There, someone told you.

I wanted to get that out of the way.

he got slightly clipped with a temple type shot and also went off balance, jolted his knee, twisted his ankle, then when he tried to get up,he has that weight on his mid section that stopped him being able to get up as quick and easy as he should be able to,and also on the way up you can see he twists his ankle again and can barely stand up straight.

the ref should have recognised that he had damaged his legs and ankle,he should have allowed solis time to help his legs and ankle a bit, seen solis eyes and decide if he was cleaered eyes or not??, also to allow a better fight for everyone and a better clearer ending for everyone.

Solis did land clean on vitali,he was tight and sharp, with quick sharp clean punches landed on vitali.Vitali before then didnt land anything decent,he wasnt as leaned back as usual,he had low left hand and even dipped his head forward open for quick punches,he looked awkward and sloppy with his movement.

it would not suprise me for a ref to be biased towards vitali, and see vitali getting hit clean would perhaps give him a lil reason to stop the fight as soon as he could, although vitali would most likely have worn down solis/solis got tired and lost pop in his punches and slowed down his movement, with vitali also landing and causing solis to get hurt and stop moving so freely.

i know now that haye will move and hit faster and harder than solis, box and move much smarter, and will land clean and hard on either brother for a big ko/tko win.
Solis was out of his mind and couldn't get his senses back. He didn't even grimace at the fake leg injuries.

Vitali took his legs away, not the canvas.

Extremely well said! I can't get on board with this being some great shot to the temple with the delayed reaction yada yada. Vitaly immediately started yelling at Solis after the ref stopped the fight as if he also knew what was really up. No way a fighter makes a bee line to another and yells at him if the guy throwing the punch knew he caught the sweet spot with an equilibrium ko. But like you said, the writer using "destroys" as his zinger in the title is extremely unprofessional and baseless.

**** me! Vitali is an animal! Solis was easily a top 5 Hw yet was completely destroyed by a slick temple shot, as speaking as someone who competed in the sport at a certain level I can assure you that there is little you can do about that. Yes possibly Solis torn knee legament when falling down but there was little he could do while falling under such a spasm, he was ****ed, if he could stand he would have been beat down badly and got really, really hurt.

1st round KO means destroyed in my book.

Even Johnson lasted all 12 with Vitali.

That's just what happens when you get aggressive with Vitali, he's not Wladimir. He feeds off of mistakes.

Solis goes in the history book as one of of Vitali's easiest wins, but if you were reading Boxingscene the last few weeks this fight was going to be Vitali hardest test for years.

The truth is that Solis didn't deserve to even share the ring with vitali.

I do wish him luck with his injury though, no Boxer deserves a severe injury

Now, now, with respect to Solis, he was competing in the round which is more than I can say for a ton of other Klitschko opponents.
