I don't underestimate Suliman's ability to pull of his corrupt dealings but he would also have to find a way to strip Lemieux of his mandatory status after Lemieux beats Rubio. If Chavez beats Zbik yjr Martinez and Lemieux are waiting to destroy him, that would require an awful lot of strings to be pulled for Chavez to avoid having to fight both guys.

I'd also like to see him fight for the other belt he rightfully won, the WBO, against Pirog. Doubt that'll happen though, how come he doesn't feel the same about tht one? Is the fact that the WBC belt is held by chumps just coincidence?
Yes, Martinez has been fighting softy opponents like Paul Williams and Dzinziruk while avoiding Pirog, who has fought who since beating Daniel Jacobs? Oh, that's right, he's fighting Argentine clubfighter Javier Francisco Maciel next.
        Martinez, what a wussy

because hbo wouldn't approve any easy opponents. i've already posted numerous articles detailing that. dzinziruk was a last minute opponent hbo came up with(they owed gary shaw a dzinziruk fight). this fight was a win/win for hbo and dibella. hbo fulfills an obligation and dibella gets a suitable opponent.

dibella might have been mad that hbo didn't approve any of his initial opponents but he was happy that hbo approved someone that wouldn't challenge martinez. don't believe his promoter speak about dzinziruk being a tough fight or any of that nonsense. he would have said zbik is a tough fight as well. promoters have to say that. you don't have to believe it.

chavez jr will beat zbik by controversial decision and become wbc champ. he will then be stripped because he's unable to fight lemiuex due to sickness. lemieux will then be elevated to wbc champion. martinez will then fight for the interim wbc belt against a bum like manfredo. chavez jr will recover from his sickness and be elevated to wbc emeritus super champion. everyone wins!(except the fans but **** them)

Yes, I'm sure Dibella was ecstatic about giving up $850,000 of the purse to some guy no one has ever heard of. Less that what Martinez made for the Williams fight.

Man, Martinez seems to be looking out for #1 now and not fighting the guys who are the most suitable for the fans. He has fought often and all that, but that's only because HBO lets them. Guys like Dawson, Berto, and Williams don't fight that much and I don't like the first two guys I mentioned. But every fighter would fight three times a year if they got the dates that Sergio has.

What I'm saying is Sergio isn't this throw back fighter that his hardcore fans make him out to be just because he's active. And to their credit though, they don't use him being active as an excuse for him not fighting the toughest competition out there.
