I am not even sure if they know Floyd won a title at 154. This picking on smaller guys excuse is a pathetic attempt to cosign Pac and not taking the fight. Funny thing is that Pac fans try to throw Floyd's name in there like he feels the same as Pac but when Mayweather was asked about moving up and fighting Sergio Martinez at middle weight, homie said "it's possible" he never said he was "too small" unlike Manny, which is seen to be true because Martinez's people said it. I will laugh so hard if Pac had a rematch with Miguel Cotto at 154 like they said a while back.

Atleast "Gayweather" when asked about a fight against Sergio Martinez he had this to say.....

After the fight was over, Mayweather was asked about some possible options - if a fight with Manny Pacquiao is not made. One reporter asked Mayweather about the possibility of moving up to 160-pounds to fight Martinez, who recently beat Kelly Pavlik for the titles. Mayweather surprised everyone by stating "it's possible."
He didn't make excuses like Pac did about "being too small" after winning a title there. To me, that "too small" excuse after winning a 154 title against a bigger man than Martinez is gay.

Yeah, him retiring is weak but since Floyd is out of the picture, we should atleast have Manny Pacquiao fighting the best guys while he is active but it just ain't happening.

People seem to forget that Manny said even before he stepped in the ring with Margarito that he was one and done at 154 lbs because he couldn't keep the weight on. He said before the fight that he would only campaign at 147 lbs after that, period. Plus, to top it off, MANNY never said he wouldn't fight Sergio. He hasn't said anything so nobody can know what he is thinking. He's got a fight lined up for May 7th and I am pretty sure that is all he is thinking about at this moment. Mayweather can say "it's possible" to fight Sergio all he wants but his track record proves otherwise. He moved up in weight to fight ODLH, got paid and immediately he moved down. But since he isn't signed up to fight anyone he shouldn't even be asked dumb questions. If he ever comes back, it will be in 2012 at the earliest and no way he goes into a direct fight with Sergio. After a tune-up, he may entertain a fight with Sergio but by then, Sergio may be a super middleweight, since after the winner of Chavez vs. Zbik, the money is in the super middleweight division (unless he could get a Cotto fight which no way Arum let's that happen)...

He just went for the title. should have left it alone if he couldn't hang but whatever. Pac is too small, Floyd is retired, so Martinez will just keep fighting the best fights he can until he becomes the guy fighters need to fight.

Yeah, I agree, the title was added to try and be a selling point so I don't consider him a real champion at 154 lbs which is the same way I feel about Saul Alvarez. I don't think Pacquiao would have ever fought Margarito if Bob Arum didn't shove him down his throat. But we all know how Bob Arum works by keeping his fights in-house, which ultimately hurts his fighters but lines his pocketbook...

Regarding Sergio, he's got plenty of fighters to fight at 154 and 160 lbs to stake his claim as the best P4P fighter. The big money fights would be Cotto at 154 lbs, Chavez Jr or a P-Will rematch at 160 lbs (if P-Will can rebound with a win or two) and at 168 lbs, Lucian Bute and/or Andre Ward if he wins the Super Six. Other than those, he could still make decent money fighting guys like Afredo Angulo, Dmitry Pirog, Andy Lee, Felix Sturm and possibly James Kirkland down the road. I am not happy to hear he is considering Peter Manfredo but you can't always get what you want. Plus, if Margarito beats Cotto (if that fight comes off), Sergio could get revenge against Margarito as well. So he has plenty of options and if Pacquiao keeps on this same path, Sergio could indeed pass him up soon.

                    Rubbish again.....

1.) Manny admitted BEFORE the Margarito fight that he would never defend that title, and that he would never fight a genuine JMW opponent, if you don't believe me, then just ask me for a link they just cheated history to get Manny his 8th-divisional title

2.) Manny was stripped. Quit trying to make out that Manny did the honorable thing you are full of it, and so is Pacquiao.

                    Hard luck for Manny.

Is he a genuine JMW champ and a genuine P4P fighter..... or not ?

Manny's got no problem demanding that Marquez jump TWO DIVISIONS to welter..... so that cherry-picking b1tch can man-up and fight Sergio at 154. Sergio is the same size as Margarito, so stop with your lame excuses.

Then why did Manny demand a catch-weight against Cotto and Margarito ?

Sorry, boxing uses weight divisions, and the amount of muscle-mass and conditioning that you take into a fight is solely determined at the weigh-in. I don't talk about rehydration weight when discussing boxing, I leave that to the noobs.

Sergio is no bigger than cheato, so get a grip.

You are just all about making excuses for the so-mighty Pacman

Personally, I would struggle to spend too much time defending my guy with bull**** excuses like you have..... so, props for that.
Even though I bash Sergio a little for calling out all these guys, I still think that Pacquiao and Cotto are taking the easy way out at the same time by not fighting him because just like you said Pacquiao waited for Sergio to get stripped before trying to fight for his eight belt and Margarito is the same size as Martinez. And Mayorga is too. So really those guys do look bitch made for not fighting Martinez also. And I think people should look at it like that as well.
