¿Zbik became the WBC champion after Martinez vacated the title to take a rematch with Paul Williams? That's B U L L S H I T cause Martinez NEVER vacated the title & was still the Middleweight WBC world Champ when he KO'd Williams & then after the Williams fight, when Martinez decided to fight Dzinziruk(a WAY better fighter than Zbik), that's when the WBC STRIPPED Martinez of the Title & LITERALLY GAVE the Title to Zbik..

Martinez & the WBC could agree on Martinez fighting the winner of Zbik vs Chavez jr fight, but if Chavez jr wins, I doubt it VERY MUCH that GREEDY SCUMBAG Arum is gonna have his fighter(Chavez jr) face Martinez..Arum would rather Chavez jr get stripped(which I DON'T think SCUMBAG LEECH Sulaiman would go as far to stripping his countryman Chavez jr)

Sergio Martinez arrived in Mexico City to receive his Diamond title from the World Boxing Council (WBC) President Jose Sulaiman. Martinez won the title last Saturday night with a knockout victory of Sergiy Dzinzurik. Martinez took some time out to assist the WBC with their anti-bullying campaign. He went to a private school in Santa Fe, accompanied by WBC VP Mauricio Sulaiman, where he shared his experiences, his beginning in professional boxing and talked about the anti-bullying campaign in schools.

I'd like to see Chavez give up his belt instead of taking the Martinez challenge. Who else is Martinez going to fight if not either of these guys or Cotto? Don't say Pirog because HBO won't show him. If Martinez didn't have a fight deal with HBO, he could maybe do it on Showtime but not for now at least.

I don't know why that is? they show much worse than Pirog.

HAHA...nice try. In my post I said I would like to see the fight personally so Sergio can beat him down and move on. I have been hyping up my man Serg since the Bunema fight.......and every fight, it's the same thing "Dude is overhyped and he will lose". Somehow though, dude seems to get better with every fight....he provides the stuff that makes boxing exciting man....no bs excuses, fights whoever gets in the ring with him, and he wants to fight the perceived best in the world to be considered the best.

He brings the fans to their feet while others fight overmatched opponents and retire on a whim to avoid a tough fight. If that's why fans watch the sport, then maybe they should find another one....I like exciting boxing matches and Serg had yet to let me down.

I never said Sergio would lose, again people think I'm hating on him... I'm not. For all the things you just said, but I never picked him to lose any of his fights from the people he's faced. All I'm saying is #2 P4P or in some cases #1 when the best names on his resume are Pavlik/Williams and Dzin... thats overselling your stock if I ever saw it.

Forgot about Felix and that would be another great choice for Martinez, he can make #2 P4P, if he keeps winning, I just think right now is a bit premature. He just lot a little bit of "wow" factor with me when he started calling out Manny and Floyd mainly. Everyone wants to fight Cotto because he's vulnerable and he brings in the closest money in comparison to Floyd/Pac. If Floyd gets **** for cherry picking so should Sergio, all I'm saying.

When did Sergio fans become just like *****s? Or did the *****s find a new guy to suck up to? Seriously, he shouldn't get into the ring with Martinez because he's going to lose anyway? Just let them fight, he's obviously the best in the division currently (aside from Martinez) so lets get it on, mismatch or not.

And what convinces you that Pirog is "obviously the best in the division currently (aside from Martinez)"? Beating another untested prospect?

I mean, Pirog looks good, but he's the guy who should be going after the Zbik's/Sturm's/William's of the world to establish his position. I can understand Martinez at 36yo preferring to take money fights or name opponents, along as he fulfills his mandatory obligation's.
