no they wouldn't. that scenario just happened. martinez was about to walk away from an hbo fight because they didn't approve any of his opponents and hbo came up with dzinziruk at the last moment. pirog was never considered on dibella's end. i'm sure hbo brought him up but obviously he wasn't a "big enough draw" or he didn't "bring enough money" even though both those points have been debunked already since he fought the unknown dzinziruk and hbo put up 2.4 million regardless of the opponent.

I don't have a problem with who he fought as I've never seen a company turn around so badly as HBO and their boxing department. Its the fact that I don't think Sergio has even faced a top 10 P4P, yet he's ranked 2 or 3 already thats the biggest issue, not the fact that he beat up an unknown.
