Problem with the so-called boxing experts and writers is that there is always an unwarranted euphoria thrown around a boxer once he earned an impressive victory regardless of the opponent's credentials. That's not objective reporting and thorough analysis but rather SENSATIONALISM. I guess it's the only way to keep this dying sport alive.

You people are truly pathetic supporting this bs.
well, you could count martinez a member of the "Pathetic Pacquiao Nuthuggers Association"

according to Martinez, he'd STILL consider Pac the P4P #1 IF he performs well against Mosley. not the best win in the history of boxing, but it IS something.

We are not mad at Martinez because we want to see the fight. Why should we care if he calls Floyd out? This is the sport of boxing. Pac fans are b!tchin because Martinez wants to fight Pac? Mad sensitive. All of Pac fans just follow him and hang from his nuts by saying how great he is but right now Sergio Martinez is out doing Pac and you guys can't stand it. fans of other fighters can give Martinez props because he earned it without being "the bigger draw". That's how boxing is supposed to be. Fight the fights. No one is hating on Pac but the chickens are coming home to roost on his cherade.

Pac is still bigger than Martinez star wise, so of course he is not going to show disrespect to Pac because overall. Pac's career is more defined than Martinez but as of these recent fights Martinez opposition has been more regarded and overall better than Pac's. Why are Manny fans denying that? Both were active 2010, Pac had the bigger names, promotion, exposure and prior awards and all Martinez did was fight whoever, do it impressively and he got the nod and is getting up to Pac about to pass him if Pac keeps going that route he's going. Pac is not going to fight Sergio but won't matter because Sergio Martinez will be the next P4P#1 in the sport of boxing.

Pac is bigger than Martinez in every way dude. not just star wise like you're saying. People pay to see Pac fight, People pay PPV to see Pac fighting. Manny is way way bigger than Martinez resume wise, career wise, hall of fame wise. so dont even think Sergio will surpass what Manny has done. Sergio didnt do anything in his career before 2009. even after 2009 he had a DRAW a LOSS and 3 wins his last 5 fights. Is that what you call P4P number 1 in sports? People dont even pay to watch him.

im going to say it again, if Dzinziruk was so good like you make him to be how come he is rank number 8 in Jr. Middleweight? if he was really that good RING MAGAZINE should have moved him up in the rankings even though he lost because it wasnt in a Jr. Middleweight where Sergio fought him? the guy is as bum as you can get. get over it! It was a good win for Sergio but nothing more.

He's doing it now. FOTY, KO of the year. Discussion of him being P4P#1 after his fight against a guy you are trying to tell me wasn't a good fighter. We all know what Pac has accomplished in his career but as of recent, his opponents have not been good challenges and I think Martinez getting the props now only proves it. I wasn't the only one saying Sergei is a good win for Martinez. The sport of boxing is. EVERYONE (except Pac fans) not just me. Why can't you get that through your Pac brain.

Is only fair. He fought a young undefeaded Champion and won very impressive. Manny is fighting Cotto and Mayweather's left over and if he can't look impressive then He should be #2

what's funny after reading that whole article is that sergio believes he's 2# right now ahead of floyd & he himself pretty much reiterated that pac is 1# unless he looks bad or loses to mosley......

yet all the floyd fluffing *****sexuals can talk about is sergio being 1# instead of pac....

                      right now.
