Sergio is too big for Pacquiao. I'd rather see a boxing clinic in Martinez vs Margarito (after he beats Cotto).

So beating a nobody (driznkuirk) who is a 154 lber at 160 makes you P4P #1? Boxing scene writers are getting worse and worse everyday.

Pacquiao won't go above 147 unless there is someone out there that is a bigger draw than he is. Is Martinez a bigger draw than Pacquiao? Lets see, Pacquiao's last fight sold 1.25 million PPV's. Martinez has never sold a single PPV in his entire career.

Martinez is after a payday plain and simple. Even if that means calling out someone 2 weight classes lower than you which is the biggest b*tch move in boxing.

Didn't Margarito weigh like close to 170 against Pacquiao on fight night? So how come Margarito can weigh over 160 on fight night, but Martinez can't?

why you guys hate Pac so much?
Was it fair for Pac to make Cotto fight at 145 for Cotto's title? Eventhough Pac fought a bigger De La Hoya in the division prior? Was it fair for Pac to fight for Martinez's title (that he had to vacant) so Manny can fight Antonio Margartio (who was suspended and wasn't ranked)? Was it fair that Pac didn't fight Mosley after Shane beat Margarito EVEN at a catchweight of 142/143? Shane had Pac's 7th title if he wanted it (WBA) but he went for Cotto's title that he won vacantly from Jennings. When was the last time Pac beat a champion for his title (I give him Hatton) but since? I don't hate Pac at all. I just can see the truth and he has been carefully groomed and concocted to be the best. He hasn't fought anyone to warrant that as of recent. How can facts be hating? I bet you that you think BWAA, Ring Magazine, ESPN boxing and all the other publications who are starting to put Martinez over Pac are hating as well? Maybe if Pac didn't win a legit 154LB title at 150 catchweight, I would not expect him to fight there but he did. I guarantee everyone will hear it from now on that Martinez is dominating top fighters and Pac is not. how can I possibly be making this up out of hate when it is true?

147 to 150 if Sexy can make that weight.

Doesn't matter, Pac still beats Sergio anywhere south of 155.
I'll bet all my points with you on that if the fight ever happens. Pac would get KO'd.

Why win it, expect more on your legacy and then let some other soft touch, unranked fighters get a shot at it after you vacate it? Pac could have just fought there if he wasn't sure of the weight difference. Why go for a title there? To pad his legacy and boast about his so called "8tth title". I said it before and I'll say it again. Pac is a good fighter but is mostly hype these days.
Why do you and other people keep saying stuff like this?

It is not Pac's fault the WBC stripped Martinez. You act as if Pac still has the belt, and is sitting on it. Floyd never, NEVER defended his title at 154 either. Sal now has the so called Martinez WBC belt. Where is the outrage from you on that?

Like I have said before, gripe about it all you want, Manny may most likely never go to 154 again...The dude just can't make the weight. You can act as blind as you want about that, but it is the truth.

Also, it would not be fair to ask Martinez to come down below 154. The fight sounds good, but in reality, it just may not be possible at this point. Or a risk Manny is willing to take. Many will, but I won't blame him.

Please stop using that belt as leverage. There are plenty of fighters that have went to 154, won a title, and never fought there again. Manny is not the first.

Sergio should stop dreamin fighting Manny which many consider as a small ww, he should concentrate instead fighting bigger men like Bute.
