I knew it would start this week......

That's your excuse because you and the Pac fan nation, knows that Martinez would fly Pac's head and you guys want him to keep winning by all means. Even if it means to cosign his handicap demands on fighters. I have a better understanding of Pacquiao fans now and if you guys felt Pac could win, then you would be screaming for this fight talking about how Pac would destroy him. Pac fans are a joke. Always trying to cosign sign **** that is so obviously wrong but doesn't matter as long as Pac is winning. Out of Martinez, Floyd and Pac. Manny hasn't fought any top fighters in YEARS. Manny ducked Shane when he was rated #1 in a division Manny was fighting in at the same time. Not trying to go there because this is Sergio Martinez's time to shine and I bet he tops Pac on the P4P list soon and then what will Pac fans say? Probably that the whole sport is hating on him. Pathetic.
Sport of boxing is already saying Martinez and Pac is kneck and kneck in the rankings and it won't only be said on Boxingscene. Once Martinez took fighter of the year while Manny was active I knew it was only a matter of time. Why are Pac fans metioning Floyd, when Floyd ain't even talking? People are calling for Martinez/Pacquiao and I have a feeling that no one is buying the size excuse from team Pac and the more both fighters are active and don't fight each other, the more Martinez trumps Pac because it's clear he is going to fight the tougher fights and better comp. Manny is out of here. I can accept Martinez taking the #1 slot but Pac fans are going crazy as I type right now. Has nothing to do with Floyd why people are questioning Pac.

I say they should do it. two of the best fighters in boxing meeting at a middle weight to duke it out? How can I say no to that?
True indeed. 154 is only 1 division above 147 and Pac already fought and won a title there (Martinez's vacant title). Totally up to Pac if he doesn't want to fight Martinez because of size but people will question him and then he is topped on the rankings by Sergio Martinez. Ring Magazine is already about to do it. Just check the sig. I'm loving it though! A true fighter (Martinez) is getting the due he deserves without the big engine behind him. Good for him. Manny is going to feel more pressure. Roach and Arum will put their feet in their mouths and make for some more revealing quotes. You can bank on that.

When asked about a potential fight with Sergio Martinez. Floyd did not use weight as an issue.....

After the fight was over, Mayweather was asked about some possible options - if a fight with Manny Pacquiao is not made. One reporter asked Mayweather about the possibility of moving up to 160-pounds to fight Martinez, who recently beat Kelly Pavlik for the titles. Mayweather surprised everyone by stating "it's possible."
Manny Pacquiao is mostly hype to me. Pac fans say Floyd is scared but Pac is the one that has weight issues. Martinez is #1 because he fights the fights.

This fight is not ever happening just like Floyd VS. Manny. The best anyone can hope for is Floyd VS. Sergio and that seems unlikely.

              Its not suprising.

I am not discreting Martinez but maybe that is what he needs to do cuz his 35 or 36 years old with only a couple of more years left. He wants the big payday.

Pac fans can sleep well knowing the Bobfather would never put anyone let alone Martinez in the ring with Pac that has a chance to beat him before he milks his cash cow dry and throws him in the ring to get his ass kicked by Mayweather while uncle Bob makes that huge amount of money.

                That's an honest Arum guarantee.

Hell yeah get it done. I know Im gonna cop alot from what about to say but fk it!

Make it at 160lbs, let Manny climb up again. If he does this and wins he can ride into the sunset as the G.O.A.T in my opinion. Sure the PED thing is gonna blow up and all the haters are gonna ride it but they can ride that wave right into the rocks for all I care.

If this fight is gonna happen it will happen because of money. All they need to do is dangle a $50mil gurantee plus PPV in front of Manny and he will step in the ring with almost anybody!

But, if he was to do this, it will have to be his last fight. I don't care who you are and even if you are pumping PED's (which there is no proof of), if you fought at 108 and made it to 160lbs against a fighter with power like Sergio, you are NOT coming out the same and without some sort of permanent damage!

I am truly Happy for Sergio Martinez....

He reminds me of all the hard working people that just believes, stays determined and fights his way to the top in what he does (I can relate). I am also happy that he is exposing Manny Pacquiao claim to being #1 in the sport. Martinez is the best and much respect and props to him. Look at how many times he got robbed and stripped of his hard earned titles because of soft touch dudes that get all priveleges without fighting anyone worth noting as a threat. He derserves his just due. Pac fans are the only ones hating because there is someone else active that is considered better than Pac and not just Floyd.

                    Dan Rafael's remark:

Martinez is simply in a zone right now, fighting as well as anybody in the world as he continues to rise on the pound-for-pound list. Manny Pacquiao has owned the No. 1 spot, but Martinez is not far behind (if at all), especially with Floyd Mayweather on the sideline and not fighting.

I think the rankings will change sooner than expected! Pac got really rich and famous in recent years by fighting worn and torn big names, while Martinez is rising from fighting the best and winning impressively. That is what boxing is supposed to be about.

I don't think Floyd is hungry enough to get in the ring with Martinez at this point. Definitely has the skills to hold up but probably not the determination. Whatever though. Right now I'm going to celebrate Sergio Martinez's success because he earned and is still earning it. I'm a hard worker too, who stays focus on the goal at hand without the extra perks, so I can relate.
