he should be considered since he has yet to be matched against a cash cow to sell ppv. i see Pirog getting a shot if he wins next week and that just continues Martinez's incredible streak. he's fighting up and coming strong fighters with zero losses and fighters who are coming off of big wins and thats the number one reaon to consider Martinez and Donaire for top spots

Pacquiao and Mayweather are still far more accomplished than Martinez.

im sorry. manny is amazing. but if it had been mayweather who had went thru a gauntlet of opponents who had either had big losses in their last few fights or were beat by his main p4p rival, it wouldnt even be an argument.
well i guess pac is the man because he fights "bigger" fighters.

People say the Hatton victory doesn't mean much due to Floyd KO'ing him, but let's look at this objectively.
Hatton was very competive for the first 5-6 rounds against Floyd. He got stopped but that was him stepping up in weight against the best WW at that time.
Pavlik stepped up against B-hop and got dominated from the opening bell to the end of the fight. Sadly people wanna bring up Hattons loss but totally disregard Pavliks loss. Not only that Hatton was a better champ in his class and Manny destroyed him.
Then take Cotto. Cotto clearly is a better champ than Williams, has a better resume so at best I think the Williams win is on par with Cotto.
And finally Martinez beat Dzin. Great win and all but again I'm just not seeing how that propells Martinez to #1.
How does 3 hot wins surpass a decade of dominance? I some of you guys don't like Pacquiao but the attempts to hype up Martinez as the top p4p guy is comical.

Again, nice performance by Serg though, but nothing that makes you the top guy in the sport.
