Pac already tested himself at 147, so why did he need to fight Cotto at 145? Mosley beat Margarito in January of 2009 and Pac was looking for his next fight. Check video 4:16 (About Freddie thoughts on Cotto) and ESPECIALLY 6:57 onward (That should give you what you want to know).

Video: Freddy Roach: "Mayweather is the easiest fight!"

Come on fam. I keeps it OFFICIALLY 100.
    Thank you so much.

Maybe you should listen to the entire interview before giving me this evidence. At 7:30, Freddie says that, after the Cotto fight, if Mayweather doesn't come to the table, they will fight Shane.

Manny knocked out Hatton in May of '09, and they went straight to Cotto afterward (who had beaten Mosley already). Then, in the interview that YOU GAVE TO ME, he says he'll go after Shane after (only if Mayweather doesn't come to the table). Thus, Freddie has never said that he wouldn't fight Shane, which is what you said earlier.

This gave me what I wanted to get to you. That's one hundred right back at you.

You told me to prove that Roach said it and I did. Roach still said "SHANE WAS TOO GOOD FOR PAC". Case closed and no further debates necessary. I proved my point.

      PS

The reason why I marked those two time frames is because Roach stated that Cotto wasn't the same fighter after Margarito and that Shane was too good for the fight, so in actuality, Mosley was the tougher fight and Roach turned it down. Didn't even want to give Shane a proper catchweight. Roach told Shane "142" but gave Cotto "145"?. That says it all.

Don't insult me. That's childish. Argue intellectually. You are using your brain as a source? Are you serious?

          You said this earlier:
          Oh really?...............

          Quote:
"Shane came to the gym twice to ask me to let him fight Manny,"Roach says. "I told him no both times, and both times for the same two reasons: First, there isn't enough money there, and second, you're too good a fighter.

I'm not even trying to go here again but just wanted to reply to your post."

You haven't shown me this source yet.

Where does Roach say that Shane was too good for the fight? Where in that video?

Whhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!!!! He said it in the video? When the interviewer said "What about Shane Mosley" and Roach said "Shane was better than Oscar". why do you keep trying to debate against the facts I just provided? You're just trying to find something to defend your wrongness. Honestly man, you were basically calling me a liar and that you didn't believe me and the minute I post the facts, you come up with another debate? No offense but that is lame because you didn't even know none of this or that a video even exist and now your trying to say that I didn't prove my point and back up what I said happen? Get out of here. 7:14 on the video he said that Shane is better than Oscar and he will not give Shane the advantage over Pac by fighting Shane at 147. Why is that so hard for you to comprehend? He basically said Shane was too good for Pac. Maybe it is misquoted from the video to interview but that is the same quote from the interview I posted.

            • Roach said NO to Shane fighting Pac at 147 because Mosley was better than Oscar. Roach wanted to make Shane weigh 142/143 but let Cotto weigh 145? Are you that much in denial Bes?

You are saying that Roach said that Shane was too good for the fight, and Roach does not say that. You are directly quoting someone, and that is not verbatim what was said. Do you understand that? You can't quote someone, and write a quote as your interpretation. A quote is verbatim.

Look at what I made bold. Saying that you would NOT give someone a weight advantage when your fighter is much smaller is not the same as saying that someone is too good for a fight. You are clearly wrong on this situation.

And you can also admit that you were wrong on this quote: "Shane came to the gym twice to ask me to let him fight Manny,"Roach says. "I told him no both times, and both times for the same two reasons: First, there isn't enough money there, and second, you're too good a fighter." You haven't given me a source yet.

I respect you for not insulting me during a debate, as that is mature and respectful. Nonetheless, I believe one should admit they are wrong when they are so.

Nah man. You told me to prove what I was saying and I did. Here is where they say it. http://insidefights.com/2010/02/04/f...-hard-to-hate/

It's been said in various publications. Please stop denying that it hasn't been said considering you didn't even know that it had been said. Stop beating a dead horse.

                  PS

                  Two different interviews same message.

Roach said in the video that Shane was better than Oscar and that's why Shane couldn't get Pac at 147. How many ways must Roach say it? Oscar is a bigger man than Mosley. How can weight not be a factor for Oscar but was for Shane regarding getting a fight with Pac? How come Roach wanted Shane at a 142 catchweight and Cotto at 145? Ever ask yourself these questions? I'm done with this debate because it's a done deal.
