well i personally see the need to honor your parents. me and my dad butted heads and i always thought "man, wtf does this old man know?" BUT, everything he said that would happen (getting in trouble, arrested, etc.) HAPPENED once i stopped listening to him. but once i got to be about 22-23 i GREW UP, and understood how fortunate i was not to have piece of **** parents, and they cared about me more then any of my "friends" or "girlfriends" ever did.

i think that's where the problems kick in. In many asian cultures, its a totally different mindset. a lot of kids grow into adulthood & still stay with their parents until they get married. In nonito's case, he grew up in the west yet his parents still treat him under oldschool asian family values.Comment

you are right, it's really nobody else's place to "take sides". it is a family matter, and should be resolved as such. but you should not just shut out your parents. i hope nonito and his dad both find common groundComment

damn... you love money more or your fam more?
yep.. that's how they do in asian culture... you call someone out you shame them.
I know all you mofos saw crouching tiger, hidden dragon. remember when the good guys knew that the thief of the sword was in that one governor's house? if the good guys went all gangbusters and sent in the cops, that would bring shame on the governor for harboring a thief. so to avoid shaming the governor, they sent michelle yeoh to talk to the girl the give the sword back.
but most of us westerners wouldn't understand that cause we are from a different culture. we got no shame. and we call each other out on our bull***** all the time.
nope.
in asian culture, the father has the right to take care of the money and use it the way he sees fit to benefit the entire fam. why do you think khan's dad is in charge of khan's money?
we don't understand it cause we are westerners but that's how asian culture works.
Im sure the asian culture has rules against stealing.
Its obvious his fathers shame was getting caught stealing from his sonComment

race aint got nothing to do with it man but common decency does....i would've slapped the taste out of junior's mouth if that was me man tbh with you......sr is a retired military guy man.. wtf is a thousanddollars to him compared to what he sacrificed to get nonito to where he is now....Comment

yes, his dad feels shame that it looks like he is "mooching off son". even if that is the case, i don't think nonito should have said anything about it. i don't know, im not gonna choose sides. i like the hell outta donaire as a boxer, and ive heard he is a really down to earth guy. i just know the importance of families and how in the end, sometimes your mom and pops could be the only ones left standing in your corner when all is said and done.Comment

I've seen his wife on youtube, chick is mad dumb. Seem's like the type of chick that has her nose in **** that's over her head. That **** works on weak ass guys, I can imagine her lil ass bossing him around and all in his year talking her bull****
Gotta put a stiff arm in the forehead of girls like that man.
Donaire needs to man up, put his man pants on, and take control of his family. If my dad pocketed a grand from me for food or whatever the **** I wouldn't even sweat it and tell him to just ask next time if it bothered me that much.Comment
