yep... that's why in america we feed, cloth and shelter our kids for 18 years, then kick them out of the house.

Well it wasn't Nonito's fault that he was born and needed to be taken care of in the first place. I hate it when parents use that argument that they raised you and you need to give back to them. ****, we did not ask to be brought into this world, it was our horny parents' mistake!

damn... you love money more or your fam more?

They shamed him how? But calling him out on a theft?
yep.. that's how they do in asian culture... you call someone out you shame them.

I know all you mofos saw crouching tiger, hidden dragon. remember when the good guys knew that the thief of the sword was in that one governor's house? if the good guys went all gangbusters and sent in the cops, that would bring shame on the governor for harboring a thief. so to avoid shaming the governor, they sent michelle yeoh to talk to the girl the give the sword back.

but most of us westerners wouldn't understand that cause we are from a different culture. we got no shame. and we call each other out on our bull***** all the time.

The shame came after he left
            nope.

THey talk about respect, but its pretty hard to respect a person that steals your money and doesnt respect you.
in asian culture, the father has the right to take care of the money and use it the way he sees fit to benefit the entire fam. why do you think khan's dad is in charge of khan's money?

we don't understand it cause we are westerners but that's how asian culture works.

yep... i totally get you cause we live in a western society that is individualistic... but nonito's fam comes from an eastern society that is communal.

honestly, we don't get or understand what the donaires are going through so honestly, it's best for us to avoid their family issues.

to be honest, both sides are being immature. dude, this is your dad - the man who probably spent thousands of hard earned dollars on you. your mom and pops wiped your ass for 18 years with no questions asked. the least you can do is help them out financially, and keep it out of the media.

i think that's where the problems kick in. In many asian cultures, its a totally different mindset. a lot of kids grow into adulthood & still stay with their parents until they get married. In nonito's case, he grew up in the west yet his parents still treat him under oldschool asian family values.
