I gotta agree... my relationship with my dad is worth more than $1000.Originally posted by Squirtzfawk this shiet. nonito sr already said. "we don't need your money all we need is respect!"
so what if my dad took a grand. he is still my dad. i would get pissed but a grand ain't worth than having a good relationship with your family.Comment

but you know what's cool... pac still loves and respects his dad. and I'm pretty sure pac gives his dad an allowance and shiiit. shows you that despite pac's upbringing, and let's face it, it wasn't a great one, pac is an admirable man both inside and outside the ring. dude is generous to a fault.
and pinoys see this and that's why they love him.
nonito need to squash this ***** with his fam... like the article says, it could **** with nonito psychologically.Comment

First off all you are way over generalizing. Asia has almost 4 billion people.nah man... but you obviously don't understand asian culture.
for example... i read or saw this someplace... but when you go to mongolia and stay with some mongols in their tents in the countryside, they'll treat you like a king and make sure you're fed and you got a place to sleep. but when you try and pay them for giving you food and shelter, they won't take it no matter how much you try to give it to them. so what you do is, you give it (money, a gift, whatever) to the children. then when you take off... the parents take it from the kids.
to us... that's theft. but in asian cultures... what belongs to one belongs to all and the head of the household controls everything.
seriously... we westerners should stay out of the donaire's family problems cause we do not have the right perspective to judge them based on our culture.
Second of all Donaires family doesnt all live in a hut and he is the head of his house hold. They didnt put all their money into 1 pot and share it. Donaire has his own lifeComment

yep, and asian culture is dominated by chinese culture and indian cluture, both of which are patriarchal societies especially in the countryside which tends to be more conservative and traditional.
only matriarch culture is probably in laos.... but I could be wrong.
the point isn't that they put all their money into 1 pot and share it. the point is we don't know or understand asian culture so we shouldn't be so quick to judge.Second of all Donaires family doesnt all live in a hut and he is the head of his house hold. from a western perspective I agree with you, but someone with an eastern perspective might disagree with us.Comment

Man-ing up is putting family first and not letting petty **** disrupt the family, also not letting a dumb female influence your decisions while she whispers selfish bull**** in your ears.
But are you suggesting he should hold a vendetta against his own father for a measly grand lol? Nice.Comment

Heres the thing, filipinos now respect pacs father. Why is this? Im sure one of the worst things you can do as a man is leave your family over there.but you know what's cool... pac still loves and respects his dad. and I'm pretty sure pac gives his dad an allowance and shiiit. shows you that despite pac's upbringing, and let's face it, it wasn't a great one, pac is an admirable man both inside and outside the ring. dude is generous to a fault.

to tell you frankly bro, i dont want to see another Luisito Espinosa's Malou Cherie? ba yun...Rachel introduced herself to Nonito after he became a world champion when he KTFO Darchinyan. Will she leech her way inside Nonito's pants if was beaten by Darchi? I don't think so....All I can say is Nonito is an ingrate and I hope Montiel knock him out and end his career. I want to see if that woman will stick to his side when he's down and out...Last edited by JOM'S; 02-18-2011, 01:51 AM.Comment
