im siding with donaire on this one. his family stole money from him & thought no repercussions were coming because they were family.

What i dont like is the extremely biased & ignorant philippine media bashing donaire because he doesnt get along with his family.

Absolutely correct, apparently the general consensus among the Filipino community is that to keep your mouth shut (oh dear) when it comes to problems within the family and they could give a flying **** to Donaire's side of the story. I can see a lot of his family members being dependent on him for their source of income but what would happen if Donaire's career is cut short. I'm curious to see what will happen when Manny retires and the Filipino support for Donaire.

No point in taking sides in other people's family matters. If you've traveled in that country, the media is one of the freest in the world. There's nothing preventing the other family from airing its side. There are hundreds of publications there and every single one of them can expose the most powerful man's dirty laundry unimpeded.

i think anybody that has been married/is married or in a long term relationship with a woman would understand why nonito did what he had to do.

nonito really needs to be ashmed of how he treats his parents esp his dad man.......few hundred of dollars enough to disrespect your dad like that?..., if his dad meant to steal from him , he would've taken hell of a lot more, ...without his dad he would'nt be in his position right now... i dont have sympathy for this ungratefull son of a b1tch for real ...well, atleast he got his excuse if he losses...

I think that their is more to this story on both sides and personally it's no ones buisness but the gossip always prevails.

I think that considering the circumstances that are available to the public I feel that the money issue is obviously related towards Rachel as most intrusive families are over-protective over their kids especially if they are young and financially well off. So Nonito meets a attractive girl (strong personality) tells him to stick up for himself, conflicts with morals/ethics of the family,money then becomes a bigger issue etc.

I understand that in cultures with a big emphasis on family that this can be viewed as a one sided debate on some fronts but honestly I think we are all entitled to lifes equal dissapointments and enlightenments and think in the end Nonito,Rachel and co will all be just fine especially if Nonito hits it big.

the fillipino media is bashing nonito cause he is going against asian mores and creeds... like the khan, most asian families are controlled by the father. that's why khan's dad manages khan, same way nonito's dad managed and trained him.

when nonito went against these asian mores and creeds to strike out on his own, he became a pariah and target for the media.

that fact that rachel donaire is the new jinn mosley and that all this dirty laundry is getting aired out in the public is humiliating and sad for all involved.
