You're making it seem like I'm painting Arum as some sort of Saint, but I know what he is, just as I know Oscar and King. They're all after one thing- $.

But if Arum is sitting with Marquez, Bradley, Berto, etc in his pocket and he knows he makes the most $ possible no matter who wins with Manny, you think he'll hesitate to make those matchups? If CBS tells him they'll bankroll a boxing show every week or other week on a Saturday primetime slot and all he has to do is put together solid cards that would warrant their investment, you don't think he would if he had the talent to do it?

And for the record, as bad as Don King's history is... he was known for putting together great cards from top to bottom when he had the roster to do it.

He won't hesitate to make those matchups, he'll just pimp the lesser of the two fighters every time. Like he always does. And ignore any issue that's not one that makes him money. Like he always does. Or bend them over and **** em in the ass like he does Manny. Lucky for Pacquiao, he makes enough to where it's ok.

All fighters have one thing in common, they want to make the most $$$ possible. Right now that means fighting Pacquiao. If you fight Pacquiao your pretty much guaranteed a career payday.

Ok, that has absolutely nothing to do with the matter at hand and you still haven't been able to tell me how the consumer suffers in this scenario and why anyone should care that GBP or any other promotional outfit is left in the dark when good fights are made and Boxing is back on mainstream free TV.

But since you think it somehow benefits Boxing to have 8 separate negotiations (or non-negotiations depending on who you ask) spanning 5 years before a fight is made and no one cares anymore and old grudges stalling matchups, then you must love the sport as it's constructed now. Personally I think Empire trumps decaying Republic in this scenario and I'll welcome any Caesar willing to cross the Rubicon to right the system.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

No, I don't think it benefits boxing to have eight separate negotiations. Just like I don't think it's good to pick one person and ask him to monopolize everything. Common sense.

smh....ppl actually think this is a good thing??? how much longer do u think arum will be around??? do u think ppl respect the other toprank heads half as much as they do him?? boxing will never be the ufc. never will one promoter dominate all the top talent, all of that is wishful thinking so basically all ur asking for is the top fights not to be made. take ur heads outta ur asses. this is in no way, shape or form good for boxing.

if u ask any industry insider, theyd say the same thing (unless they work for top rank).

I don't care if there's a monopoly or if things remain decentralized. all I care is that the best fights happen and if it takes one promotional company (doesn't matter which one) to make those fights happen then I'm all for it monopoly. or if monopolies hinder the best fights from happening then I'm totally against it. bottomline, I just want to see the best fight the best.

                      Right...

You and dazed keep going on about how this will 'hurt' the fans but I've yet to see a single example of how. So please, educate me on how all the top fighters in the sport being under the same umbrella, possibly fighting on free TV in primetime, and fights not being harpooned by rival promoters, old grudges, and go-nowhere negotiations 'hurts' the fans exactly.

                      I'm all ears...
