    i hate floyd.

But i would pick his performance as near perfect in this poll.

    But its very close.

Also, anyone who thinks Barrera was unskilled is incredibly dumb. Barrera > Corrales. But Floyds performance was perfection. Cant really top that.

You act like wins against those 3 are like nothing...Those were damn good wins at the time. I mean really think about it bro.

Corrales was shot to shit against Clottey. Why bring that fight up? You act like that was a top version of Corrales.

Here is the fact arguably the greatest fight in the modern era, Corrales was the victor in that fight.

Just think about that for a second before saying he always came up short.
Was just asking the question, those 3 are probably were his best wins, you are right they are good wins but not great.

He was very lucky not to be DQ against Castillo.

Are you calling Corrales the greatest fighter of the modern era?

Nah. If he woulda looked on Boxrec he'd saw MAB wasn't KO'd it was a DQ and a 12 round decision loss. So we can rule out Boxrec, unless he dont know how to read.

Not lucky at all...I mean being DQ'd would have been a jumpy decision by Tony Weeks. Weeks did the right thing by penalizing Chico and deducting a point from Corrales.

And, I did not call Corrales the greatest fighter of the modern era. I said he was the winner of arguably the greatest FIGHT in the modern era.

both fighters were under dogs in those fights but floyd was rarely ever the underdog so that goes to show how much respect people had for diego at the time and paquiao at the time was unknown to most and barrera was considered as 1 of the great fighters of the division but i would give it to floyd because he dominated chico and dropped him 5 times if i'm not mistaken and stopped him and chico had never loss been knocked down or out in a fight where as barrera had already loss and been stopped before

He was clearly knocked out, but his team came into the ring when they weren't suppose to and he got disqualified. Looks like SOMEONE just took a trip to boxrec though or just needs to watch the fight.

that's because corrales hadn't fought anyone really good yet. barrera had fought a bunch of good fighters already.

Here is the thing Barrera reinvented himself after the Jones fight. He worked on his craft became much more versatile. A pre Jones would of went to war with Hamed. A post Jones used his skills against Hamed used his boxing IQ.

To just say well he lost to Jones(even though JJ was a damn good fighter) and Corrales was undefeated" I mean that is too simplistic of a way to look at it.

Yes Corrales had punching power. But, Barrera was the much more versatile, skillful, smarter fighter. Between the Jones and Pac fights Barrera had the better wins going in than what Corrales did going in.

Barrera was also the main man at featherweight at the time. And, also like Chico was pretty high in most P4P list...I think at the time he was higher than Chico was at the time Corrales fought Floyd by The Ring. Corrales was a legit threat to Floyd. But, Pac wasn't suppose to beat Barrera.

I have no problem with people picking the Corrales win. I can see why...The problem is with the simplified reason as to well Corrales undefeated and Barrera wasn't...When that really doesn't matter or that Corrales was this monster but if you realize Pac wasn't suppose to win that fight...
