Losing respect for Haye the longer this goes on. I've always backed him but this is a case of now or never.

Good point. I was not so enamoured with Haye's claim that he would "clean up the heavyweight division"..... I rated him at cruiser, but saw Vit/Wlad as an entirely different proposition. You know what really bugs me about all this.I thought Haye was a really good cruiser weight. And when he said he was moving up to fight the KLITSCHKOS I was very interested because I thought for about 5-7 rounds Haye would make it interesting(Haye would more than likely lose by TKO) but would really bring the fight to them. But now all I see is someone just talks a lot of trash and never backs it up and is milking his title. And his deluded fans will jump onto any excuse Boothe or HAYE GIVE.
I was initially annoyed at the ridiculous "coward" accusations directed toward David Haye, especially in light of that silly low-ball offer that K2 made Haye before he won the WBA belt off The Golem.
Since then, I have seen absolutely nothing to indicate that Haye is desperate to fight a K-bro, in fact until lately, it appeared that K2 were much more desperate for that fight than Haye.....
..... but now, I'm not so sure about that.Comment

A 6-week camp ?For people saying 9 weeks isn't enough for a promo tour and training camp, 3 weeks promotion (a week in USA, Germany and UK) and a 6 week camp must surely be good enough?
Wlad would not have to fight Chisora, Haye and Adamek, as Adamek signed to fight either Klitschko, basically meaning if Wlad signs to fight Haye Adamek would fight Vitali instead.
The whole WBA mandatory situation is that Haye would have to sign for a unification fight by a given date, that date is before the Wlad-Chisora fight. However, Haye and Wlad can sign a fight contract before this date with a cancellation clause for if Chisora does the unlikely and beats Wlad (this clause would be similar to one that allows cancellation due to injury.
This means that Wlad and Haye can sign to fight now, there is a contract to sign, but one side doesn't want to do that.
That is fkn absurd.
He would be a total fkn moron to take that fight.
Wlad should have contacted Haye late last year, and completely canned the Chisora fight. They could fight in April.
That would mean a 7 month layoff for Wlad, which should be fine, he only fights twice a year anyways.
Expecting to fit Haye in around Chisora seems silly in light of the situation.Last edited by LeadUppercut; 02-06-2011, 07:13 PM.Comment

Team Klitschko should write into the contract that if he loses to Chisora, he has to pay Haye 1 million dollars...I think if Haye was serious about fighting Wlad, that would be an offer he couldn't refuse - unless he's just plain chicken.Comment

"Why on earth" would Haye care if Wlad has a fight 9 weeks before. Wlad could spend those 9 weeks ****ing chicks in Mexico and it shouldn't matter as long as he shows up July 2 ready to fight. Also, Haye is not "volunteering" for anything, he'd make a killing on the fight.Comment
