I think everyone has forgotten that Holmes signed to fight Tyson with about just 11 weeks untill fight date.They trained and promoted the fight in about 10-11 weeks.and that fight had not been talked about for 2 years befor hand

For every fight you can show me that was made on short notice, I can show a hundred that were not.

For starters, we are talking 9 weeks here, not 11.

Haye is a fkn moron if he takes that fight without opportunity for a full camp, and without 3-4 weeks promotional work. This is not about shuffling around a couple of US cities, this is a truly international fight.

Sorry, but Haye is unreasonable, and he is the main reason why this fight has been so difficult to make..... so your expectation that he should just STFU and accept a real **** sandwich of an offer, is ridiculous.

And Wlad is well aware of that IMHO.

Haye publicly stated - unreasonably or not - that he will retire in Oct 2011.

Wlad knows this.

So, he chose to fight Chisora, and then started talking about Adamek later in the year? Why would Wlad respond to Haye's self-imposed early retirement date, by filling up his calendar?

It is really getting worse and worse, but I don't care so much anymore, if the fight happens ... great... if not... no big deal... But think about it why should Wlad dodge Haye?? Wlad did not cancel the first fight, it was Haye. So he was not afraid before the first fight, but now after Haye's 'glorious performances' vs Nikolai 'The Stationary Target' Valuev, a shot J.Ruiz with 8 losses and the masterpiece vs GOAT Audley Harrison Wlad should be afraid???

Yeah but if he wants the fight so bad like he claimed 3 years ago when he accosted Wlad on the escalator he can simple not retire for 2 month and fight Wlad in December which should be plenty of time to promote and train after Wlad's Adamek fight should he win and still be champ.

It makes absolutely no sense at all that Wlad would be " scared " of Haye.

But then again, it makes no sense at all that Mayweather would be "scared" of Pacquiao, and we have all read the "expert analysis" on that subject

Ok LeadUppercut I can agree to disagree,and yes it nice to have a long lead into the fight(I just don't believe it is necessary).But I think also would give Haye a better shot to defeat Wlad if Chisora proves much tougher than people believe. Well I guess usd argueing will not change anything anyway.Wlad will do what he wants and HAYE WILL DO WHAT HE WANTS.At least will have Vitali vs Solis to look forward too.

So what if he was ? He had agreed to fight Haye on july 2nd.The fact is no matter what reasons you give,it was Haye in the end who canceled the fight on july 2nd, witch was the date both parties had already agreed too.

Hey, I agree that Haye is not making this easy either ..... So what if they had July 2nd date .... things have changed since then ..... so to say that is the only date that Hayes can choose, Vladimir is making it just as difficult to get this fight made.

If you give the other 2 guys what they want while Haye can't maneuver from that date, I question Vladimir wanting the Hayes fight, as he has stated, BADLY!

I've lost all interest in this fight. I mean, it's not even like a Pac v Floyd fight, where despite all the bull****, it would be a worth it in the end because of the historical significance of it.

It was gonna be a potentially interesting, exciting fight but Haye's antics have just ****** all the anticipation out of it for me. No-one can come up with a credible reason why Haye won't sign to fight on July 2.
