He fought the majority of his career at 140. He didn't even weigh 154 in 2 of his 4 fights at the weight. He had only weighed 147 3 times in 40 odd fights before Pac.
Your reaching dude.
Lets see Pac make 130 he had more fights there than 147 , your analogy dont mean anything because they change with time , Cotto is much better at 154 , Pac knows it because he refused to fight him there .

2. Just a sad attempt to justify the 50/50 argument. Pac can put anyone on his card he wants. Just because Pac stays with a promoter that rips him off and creates ****ty cards, that ain't FMJ fault. FMJ/GBP have the sense to have big names on the card & maximizing the take. And as the headliner, he gets the credit for the buys, JUST LIKE PAC DOES ON HIS CARDS!

Think about this... For all the people that think the rehydration/catchweight didnt affect Cotto....
Pac dusted a weakened Cotto teh first time, but if you guys wanna push that, then ask yourself, why did Manny again ask for a catchweight on a fighter he dominated???
The answer is obvious.... He dominated because of the catchweight/rehydration clause
People can argue this and argue that, but at the end of the day people say Manny and Floyd in common opponents.. As Floyd stated after the fight. I fought him at a weight he was comfortable at, and not a "catchweight"
145 cotto was weaker with a rehydration clause just as Delahoya was as well with a rehydration Clause, and manny even outweighed delahoya!!!!!
SIMPLY PUT IT'S CAREFUL MATCHMAKING.
If Floyd had told Cotto he can only fight at a catchweight he would have been crucified, and rightfully so... because more is expected from Floyd than Manny....
We have seen manny not being able to cut the ring off. That Cotto last night would have been too big and strong for manny.... That cotto would have put marquez into retirement......
the pacquiao fight was very, VERY, high tempo, and miguel still only started to really run at around the 7th or 8th
cotto was in great shape, he ate alot of punches and threw alot of punches, you have got to be a very stupid individual to think he was weight drained, truely, the fight went 12 rounds where pacquiao gave him not a single chance to rest and he was stopped on his feet
even pacquiao was feeling the paceLast edited by SplitSecond; 05-07-2012, 03:46 AM.

After watching Floyd for so long, I don't know why some of his previous opponents haven't done that yet. He has great head movement, but once you pinned him on the ropes, you have to aim your punches at his head instead wasting your energy by throwing hooks at his body which he'll be easily able to block with his elbows and counter you with his own hooks and uppercuts upstairs.
Cotto's jab is precise, straight, stiff and not lazy. And let's face it, Floyd's reflexes are still in a league of their own but not superior like they used to be.
It's still quite impressive how he got Cotto's connect percentage down to 20% because Cotto's is also a precise puncher who can counter and slug it out.
