It took a long time but it finally happened : Floyd looked old

Floyd finally looked old for the first time against Cotto. His reflexes, handspeed, footspeed, everything was off last night. He got hit with shots he wouldn't have been hit with just a year ago. Even if he was injured or sick, age was probably the main reason why he looked like he did last night. He's 35 years old. He hasn't taken a lot of punishment in fights (he takes the least punishment in the sport) but I think the wear and tear from his crazy training is finally starting to take its toll on his body. You can't keep pushing your body like that forever, sooner or later the energizer battery runs out. Martinez is still going strong at 37 but he started boxing at 20, Floyd has had boxing gloves on his hands since he was 1 year old...

I think the Mosley fight was his last prime performance, although late prime. I'll miss watching prime Floyd do his thing live but it is what it is, all good things must come to an end.
